*2024 UPDATE!* - Note that I MADE travel videos (mainly in Mexico and Serbia), as well as Digital Nomad and Teaching English-themed videos from 2016-2022. After many years of travelling full-time without a home base, I felt like I had achieved everything I had wanted from RU-vid, and decided to move on to new challenges and projects.
I spent much of 2023 still travelling, mainly in Bolivia, Colombia, and Paraguay, before deciding to move to Poland on a semi-permanent basis (I am a British/Polish dual citizen). I am now quite happy living in central Poland with my cat!
I'm still a Business English Coach/English Teacher, as well as a Freelance No-Code Web Designer and UX/UI Designer.
I do not review RU-vid comments but I am still reachable via my Instagram @david.ostrowskiy - but please be aware that I have very much moved on from travel, Mexico, and Digital Nomad life, and (without sounding rude!), I have no interest in talking about these subjects!
I went to Juarez cross the border and went to the Kentucky bar and waited for my friend that lived in Juarez, what a great experience since the last time I was there was in 2004, I'm definitely going back and thanks for sharing your video
The United States should sprawl from Greenland to Panama. I want to be born in Dallas, educated in Montreal, work in Los Angeles, and retire in San Carlos
What an irresponsible and misleading video. Juarez is still one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Yet, you’re providing a false since of security to potential visitors. 180 deaths in the last two months. Thousands of troops being deployed to the town. But… please go on.
As a "gringo" from up north a bit (Chicago) I'm nevertheless fascinated by our southern neighbor and much appreciate your videos. Id love to travel the countryside but until things quiet down a bit, ill stay with your efforts as the next best thing.
looks beautiful.... and it has paved roads.... unlike Puerto Penasco where I live. It is COOLER temperature wise there too, unlike HUMID HOT I have here. It is my plan to move to CHIHUAHUA in the next year or so ~
Kosovo is about Serbian ethnic nationalism! There’s what, about 5% Serbian population in Kosovo. Own your war crimes like Germany has and stop getting a hard on for Putin. He’s just a pumped up version of Mladic
i moved here 7 years ago from England. Im never leaving. If youy ever return, ill take you on a food tour of the city¨- let me know here. The food here is *another level*
Thank you for your utmost straight opinion. I salute you for sharing your honest opinion/experience. I am currently in Creel planning my trip to the Copper Canyon. Having been to the Grand Canyon twice (the second time was just in April this year) I just wanted to see the differences between these two places. After seeing your video, you’ve confirmed my decision just to take the session from Bauhuichivo to Creel rather than for the entire trip. Likely will be in First Class. Thank you again, love your video!
you know, i just want you to know that when you got real about the pizza it was really entertaining and genuine. loved to see a Genuine reaction. you're great!
The Menonitas have upgraded and enriched Northern Mexico. They are highly intelligent and kind people. Your choice of music drastically requires serious improvement, imo.
I live in the USA and mass shootings and crime is horrible, I am Originally from Durango, My grey grandfather was Domingo Arrieta, he was the 1st governor of Durango after the civil war, He was descended from Spain vasco
You rock! I don't always agree (obviously!), but always good food for thought. I hope you just chuckle at all these anti-UK and pro-Russia comments, because that's all they deserve. Yeah, there is a significant chunk of the population that feel that way, but they are not a majority. I think you deserve honorary Serbian citizenship for all the great videos and analysis you've done. A smart, brave, open-minded, and adventurous Brit, please come back and/or send us some more! :-)
"Backwards"? Careful now, the classical Western imperialist nature is showing there ;) Culture exists within the framework of moral relativism, unquestionably. Undeniably, masculinity is not only NOT frowned upon, but women in Serbia overwhelmingly EXPECT their men to be strong and hold traditional masculine values. To us, backwards is becoming a minority in your largest two cities, allowing Muslim grooming gangs to operate unimpeded for decades while powers that be, such as local police and social workers are aware of it, and encouraging pre-teens to take life-changing hormones and later undergo castration: all dwelling in the false notions of equality. This is morally acceptable within the UK. Here, it is not. So be it. As you probably already know and have witnessed, family is important in Serbia and we are more collectivist (though granted, this has its negatives as well, especially politically-speaking) than those in the hyper-individualised and atomised countries such as the UK or US, for example, where family is often second rung. Serbia as we know it will still be here in 100 years, for better or worse. Like an ever-stoic wart on the face of Earth :D I cannot confidently say the same for the Western European nations. Take care.
People rest on Sundays and nearly everything is closed. Nombre de Dios has natural springs near the entrance to Nombre de Dios. Many people go to the swimming pools and the river near the entrance to the town. The mezcal there is one of the best I have ever had! They do get quite a bit international tourists. 😅 We love it! Bought land there. And in the city of Guadalupe Victoria Durango. 🩷💜🩷 we love the family oriented lifestyle. And Doña Aleja passed away and her family took over… but their Gorditas are good.
Lol. U think that walk near St Dunstans was an historic memory..try 50s/69s on bike from Bedfont. If u went to Sunbiry Grammar my recall is a more purple colour, rather than maroon. The walk around was ok.
How many Arabs did you see in that Rich ARAB Playground? Architecturally speaking, it could be better, but it's good as it is. Most of the buildings were designed by Serbian architects. The cleanest and most well-maintained part of Belgrade.
Yes Polanco is nice and opulent but you can find that in many other countries, same stores, same kind of people. Mexico is not about that kind of richness, Prada or Gucci is not what makes Mexico rich or interesting.
