Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday, it's a national one, so it really doesn't go against Islam. The main sentiment is to be thankful for what you have, which anyone from any religion can participate. Some people don't celebrate it for political or moral reasons though, like they are against turkey slaughter or out of respect for Native Americans for what the pilgrims did to them. There are many reasons not to celebrate it if you don't want to, but solely being Muslim isn't one of them.
What a difference a few days make! I recorded and uploaded a video of DeSoto falls from today (Sept 20th, 2021) after some heavy rains. The area where those people are standing is completely flooded out. Hope you enjoyed your trip, looks like it was a beautiful day!
