Doesn't seem that confusing tbh... northbound limiteds run to New Lots, and northbound locals run to Rockaway Parkway. Southbound, everything goes to Bensonhurst except for the few short turns originating from Rockaway Parkway.
Wow, nice catch!! :) This is actually a pretty rare sight to see. An M8 (from the New Haven and New Canaan Lines) on the Hudson Line? The last time I saw an M8 on the Hudson Line was back in 2017 when it was heading towards Croton-Harmon without any automated announcements and destination sign displays. The conductor had to do the announcements manually.
@@michaelespinet5485 again, they don’t run these on the weekends. If KB had some weekday trips, you’d probably see this on the 12… but there’s only a few operators that take this bus out of the depot, and they usually do the same runs each week
Speed isn’t at all indicative of what type of sign a bus has… the signs will scroll/change at whatever speed they’re programmed to, regardless of what sign they’re displayed on.
They've had these buses for nearly a year and a half... and considering they're getting the 2 XHE40s, these being at the depot is a good thing in the long run.
Almost done! All we need now is the Q34! This is the rarest College Point route ever because it only runs on weekdays and most trips are north of Flushing.
The XE40s do not have the Fare-Free sign. The program will expire at the end of August so don’t expect an update. If anyone tries to pay on the fare-free bus because it doesn’t say such, what happens?
I stand by my statement I blogged about when it comes to the Q10. 40 foot buses should be on all Q10s that go to 130th Street, And on the Q10s that go to JFK via 130th Street, Also those Rockaway Boulevard short turns too. The XD60s should be only for the Q10 Limited.
It'd be nice, but unfortunately the local and limited runs are interlined, so there's no easy way to keep the artics on the limited and standards on the local route.
@@jadenmuniz8817 she wasn’t waiting at the bus stop. Tbh I don’t think most straphangers care what kind of bus shows up - they’ll read the destination sign and see if it’s their bus or not
My predictions: With every Flatbush Orion retired, an XD40 from Grand Avenue will take its place. With every Fresh Pond Orion retired, a 2014-15 or 2018-19 XD40 from East New York will take its place. With every Manhattanville Orion retired, a Nova LFS HEV from Quill will take its place.
