First time watching a video from your channel. For Kokrobite, I am not even going to speak about it because, such abandonment is normal in this country. My take is about you as a youtuber. You have that element to become a huge success in the space. Good luck.
Paaa. I do not understand Ghana. Always waiting for others to pay and to act. In 10 years our people will be crying that foreigners have bought all the beach front property and built expensive hotels with all the profits going abroad. Don't even have the common sense to fix the road to encourage day trippers.
Thanks for the video. You made a good point about people not investing and taking advantage of the vast land by the ocean. I think the problem is access to the beach is almost impassable. The roads are bad and the developers are not interested in making the roads better because it's not their responsibility. The municipality and developers can come to some sort of agreement and make good roads to beach resorts in remote areas
Ghana 'railway' in 2024! Who ate Ghana's gold? With all that gold, surely a normal country should have something better than that *Korle-Bu* level *basabasa* contraption of a thing.
Locomotive, Ghana standard 2024. Forget Year of Return. This is the Year of Locomotive. LOL. Is there anything in that country that gives that *wow* factor? Certainly not. Everything, just *basabasa* in that noisy-for-nothing country. That's the main locomotive in Woody Meyer's country in 2024! And they are busy talking about other countries in Africa that are decades ahead of them! Simple people, bless them, what do they know. Sigh.
@alexbanj7a7bc I think every country has its flaws. It’s up to us to come up with solutions and raising our voices to make things known to our leaders for a better change in our countries. 😊
@@itsjvstBen Yeah but Ghana is a peculiar case in the sense that Ghana is one almighty walking *flaw* you know. I mean let's be honest, how can one of the most naturally endowed nations with some of the most precious natural wealth under its soil be so unremarkable in every sense of the word? It is a country that has been going to the IMF for one bail-out or the other since its independence. And that's a country where gold and everything else have been mined for decades, and a country fortunate to have a small population, relatively speaking, which should make its wealth go round and far. And yet, even by West Africa's standard, it seems so worse off. Just look at the state of Accra as a capital city, it's a screaming shame. What happened? How did it get this bad? And the people don't seem to care or get it!
That must be 80,000,000 *Ghanaian* Dollars. Certainly not 80,000,000 American/Canadian/Australian/New Zealand Dollars. Certainly not. LOL, Ghanaians and comical hype. Villagers!
How is this their problem??; Why should we be bothering these poor guys that have suffered their own problems from their home, with our never ending senseless issues?; We always want to dump our shortcomings on others. Not fair!! It should be torn down anyway. If its not feasible and viable to build right on the ocean there, why should it be done and waste more money? Salt water destroys structures, so why so close on the water??!!
Ghana ooo Ghana. Such abandoned projects happen all across the world. I have lived abroad (U.S.A) for almost 3 decades and have seen many abandoned structures due to structural integrity, not fully approved development, voted against, loss of life (owner), lack of stakeholders, partnerships, profits, etc. Usually the local government, relatives, partners, banks, investors, and the least to the least (The Nation's or State Government), would take over and either complete, resell, or deconstruct (demolish) for another project. Most of us Ghanaians always blame and assume the nation's government is responsible for every development but it is not true. If there were stakeholders in this project and held a tight contract and still do, they can continue with the completion because the overall gain is enormous. As far as with the ocean encroachment, it is fixable with heavy stones and compacting of the sand behind loosed sand behind. I hope this helps shed some light on this issue. Bro, do you mean the uncompleted 17 floor tower cost 80million dollars to build? Or, it was estimated to be completed from ground to finish at 80million dollars???
This building has huge potential.... however there's one major issue which no one seems to realise.... the sea.... since 2012 I have been monitoring the beach in front keeps eroding and I can say it's lost about 20 feet.... That area can be turned into a marina (small harbour) for boats and yatchs... if after assess it's structure and it's sound it can be turned into a hotel with the marina around it....... either way if its demolished a marina can still be built...
That’s very true and this prolly one of the best ideas when implemented, will bring a lot of jobs to the people in the area, and eventually Labadi will be a tourist hub. Labadi actually has some of the best beaches too.
It’s opened to the public. Actually it’s been divided into two sections and one part is occupied by government officials and the other is opened to the public.
The Europeans. They started with gold trade the Ghana then Ashanti Kingdom for almost 200 year but when they saw orgarnised the Ashantis were in terms of supply of labour in the mining and farming industries they started the Europeans slave together with the coastal chiefs ie. the fanties, denkyira and the wassa people.
I just want to leave a comment saying I love the video can I have more than one RU-vid channel and all of my channels will be subscribing to your channel I promise keep up the good work
