We know that God is always faithful, but in practice, we often live our lives like He's not, and then act surprised when when He comes through yet again. Often, we see this only in hindsight. Thank you for this message, Pastor John!

I was raised in this church. It's a doomsday cult. My parents have been church leaders for about 30 years. My mom abused my siblings and I. She made us bleed often. She said, we'd be better off dead than growing up on this planet. She's believed for 40+ years that it is always the last year before the apocalypse. Every year she is wrong. Her doomsday mentality justified the abuse in her mind. I feared my mom was going to kill us when we were children. She's angry now that have a happy family. I had to cutoff communication with my mom because she says my physical illness is punishment from God. She says I'd be better off dead because my family won't join her cult. She feels empowered because of my illness . My body may be weakened but my heart is strong. I worry about the children who are forced into this cult. God bless them. Jesus treated children with love and kindness.
