Haha well done! - so much of that is just like the real thing. The long intro ( and elsewhere ) should not be played in straight fours by the bass drum entirely. White interspersed a strange offbeat among it, which if it was present in your performance would make it less difficult to get the full swing of this song. Howe was taking cues off White and used the bass drum as his guide quite frequently in this number. So its the bass drum thats throwing the guitar off & you can see him looking for the right moments that don't come etc. But Wow its my favourite yes song of all time & its almost nailed here.
Excellent band of great and dedicated musicians. An excellent rendition of this oh-so-classic song. Beautiful words of tribute to the late, great Alan White. cttgaegoaktd 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥😗
As I was saying I am honored to be the first one to make a comment. I remember in 1988 watching Alan pounding the drums during apocalypse and I said to myself it doesn't get any better than this. Keep crashing those symbols in the heavens Alan
Fantastic job guys!! Thanks so much for posting this! I saw the video of you playing a full set where members of Yes (past and present) were totally cheering you on! Don't let the internut armchair criticism get under your skin. You have a great frontman with an original voice, don't lose him! 👍👍
I know finding someone to sing JA isn’t easy in any way but perhaps consider trying to find someone else. Musically pretty solid. But the vocals are painful.
Ok, we all know JA is entirely unique and unrepeatable. However, this singer does a mighty fine job with an infinitely complex vocal challenge. Great job!👍👍👍
Dave, even the remaining members of Yes can't replace Jon Anderson so TMS has done pretty well getting a vocalist who has stood up to the challenge of this song. People be kind, TMR did a great job on a difficult Yes song, It's great there are musicians who want to pay tribute to a progressive rock band...
