Wonderful!! Very happy to see your efforts at USA far away from Bharat. Still maintaining the culture and carrying forward the legacy of such great songs of our Sangeetha pithmaha Sri purandara dasar is really much appreciated... Thank you very much.. We pray the Almighty to give you success aayur arogya sowkyam in your lives... Namaskaram 🙏
One reason is our ancient composers and saints never had the concept of copyright or patents. They composed for humanity, divinity or Bhakti. So not just ARR , many other composers have openly copied. It would have been good if they had the decency to acknowledge in their movie credits or in public. In an unintended side effect. the popularity of film music and these hit movie songs attract people to Carnatic music and these saints (which they normal would never have known about).
True but it was his respect for the composer because everyone freon common folk to elites have heard this song. However he could've easily credited the original piece and composer. Also I saw comments on a video where some women were singing this and the commentor said that these women "copied" AR Rahman🙄☠🤦
@phalgun5 Getting copyright is just a few decades issue. I understand that it's not been there for centuries. But if we want to compete universally, we must play by universal rules. Musicians like ARR started their career using copyright rules. He won awards from the Western organizations & he knows better.
