Great race Todd nice layout if you decide to go to a different rear tire, I would try Paul Gage urethane tires that's what I have on all my cars and really like them. I try Bobkat rear tires and like Paul's better if you try the Quick Slicks there a whole different tire, they are silicone I found that they don't work as good as urethane tires, I Hope this Help's You can get them at Slot Car Corner
Sight lines are important Todd. Great that you consider that with an L shaped layout.. if your drivers are on the inside, you always have one in the way 😂
I just couldn’t see spending the money on Carrera borders, so I’m making my own instead. They’re cut to fit out of foam insulation panels. I wound up using body filler to smooth out the transitions between the track and the borders. After painting it all to look like either asphalt or concrete, it really tricks the eye. Because the track limits lines and curbs don’t just run parallel to the slots anymore, the rails appear to be approximating a racing line. Cars on the inside dive onto the curbs at the apex of each curve, while cars on the outside have plenty of room to drift without gaining the advantage of wall-sliding. I’m about 1/3 of the way done with the curves on a 72ft track.

Yea did some shopping from Lakota as well. They are my go to seller for my track related accessories . Bought most of my catch fence to go around my track from them. Thanks for the video Metal 🤟🏻

I see you plan on changing the guide soon on that great looking slot car? All the Scalextric slot cars that I have tested have real problems with the basic guide they include on my 1/24 scale Carrera track. I wonder if you will include a video of this fine car running on your track or are you changing the guide before and video of it on your track? I am very interested also in seeing the install of the digital chip etc. So you have my eyes on this one! Thanks !🏁
I bought a couple scalextric nascars off eBay awhile back. Bought the chip to convert over to my carerra digital track. Both would barely run and very sluggish. They are old so I’m assuming I’m gonna have to replace the motors. The original guide&braid setup are a huge negative for me. Slot invasion looks to be the way to go. 🏁

@@TojuRacing-ry4cf I have a double pit lane but one of my pit entry track piece the gate wouldn’t open fully and would cause the car to Dslot. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn’t. Ruins races so went back to single pit lane. So ordered another one. I’m going to put the faulty one on other side for pace car. Once I get those back in and couple lane change curves into the track I’ll do a video. Your videos are awesome bro keep your updates coming. Race on 🏁
