I remember experiencing this back when West Edmonton Mall’s Galaxyland still had the 3D motion ride theatre. My favourite part even back then was bumping into the belly of that fat clown on the spinning wheel. 😁💙👍🏼
1:15 1:48 I know many may hate the Jabba scene (despite the fact that was originally going to be in the film but couldn’t at the time), but the fade in the 1977 version feels so weird and I think a straight cut would’ve made more sense
I feel like most of the changes weren’t needed (except for maybe some of the cgi as when comparing it to the other films). I grew up watching the 2004 DVD, but the fact they added Greedo shooting was kinda weird. The Jabba scene was originally supposed to be there as well but was cut out as they didn’t have the technology to make it work
Does anyone remember or know where to find the the video that played before the ride? At the Canadian midway on Clifton hill it was a clown sopranos parody based on the opening to the sopranos.
When was Artoo’s panels changed from black to blue in the exterior space scenes? I remember being disappointed that they didn’t correct that for the 1997 Special Edition but I’m pretty sure it was fixed for either the DVD or Blu-ray release.
An interesting fact about the line “Close the blast doors!” at 6:19 is that even though it wasn’t in the 1977 version of the film, the audio did exist because it’s in the Star Wars story album that came out that year!
