This is what I like about connor, garnt, sydney, similar anime-related streamers and most** vtubers I've watched, here you can see, despite the deadpan act he normally puts on, underneath it all they're just like us. Genuine enthusiasm.

probably because it's a character that shows up on the screen for less than 1% of the gameplay and its design is meaningfully tied to the lore; meanwhile, Eve was a blank canvas character with no personality that was just designed to flash ass in your eyes while you're playing the game
Honestly, i'd say try out ffxiv first, theres a free trial where u can play as much as u want and max level is something like 50 or 60 i believe. And multiple classes can be on 1 character, so u dont have to create a new one when trying out another class.
ffxiv has a completely free trial up to lvl 70, that includes story, high end raids and SOOO much more. It has a few limitations but nothing major. It's also available on pc, ps4/5 and xbox s/x, the community is really welcoming and no need for alt characters
