Good. But I would like to see the tank in action when full and see if { they get away with cement wall being laid after floor cement has dried {somewhat}} ...and if water doesnt seep through the base. Also time lines of when to do what would have cemented the knowledge. But impressive and thanks for uploading.
They bring me very good memories, I worked this technique building tanks, filters, ferrocement biodigesters, in Colombia, in La Guajira, some councils, all the accessories must be placed before draping, so as not to have to break, it weakens the structure and the materials They will not set or join well, I recommend a 4 "washing tube, the pipe that collects the water from the roof for the interceptor of the first rains and the tank should have been marked with a" Ye "and not a" T ", through the unevenness (4 "PVC pipe and fittings that transports the water from the roof to the tank) dirty water passes from the roof to the tank. This is a respectful contribution, with permission to the master builders, thank you, a hug, take care of yourselves. Simultaneous Spanish English translation. Note: The system of the access cover to the tank had to be reversed, so that foreign bodies that contaminate the water do not enter, the closing matrix must be inverted, as you built it, it enters the opening of the tank, exposing all the tank cover contact area, a small perimeter wall must be raised that borders the entrance to the tank and the cover that enters and fits on the edge, leaving a greater protection to the closure and the rainwater will not leak through the cover as the outer edge of the cap goes into the edge of the tank.
No mention of a pozzolan added to the mortar, like fly ash or DE, that means this is ferro concrete, NOT ferrocement which is a hot mix 2-1 with 15% of the fine sand replaced with a pozzolan, for boats a few grams of trioxide is also added to stop galvanic reaction causing bubbles/pockets in mortar..Also with ferrocement it is critical that the plaster is only 2- 3 mm thick over the last coat or cracking will result, nice tank all the same..not sure how it holds water because concrete is porous....here we use Ferrocement with fly ash..
Love the skill of these guys . Always amazes me to see something go together like this .The music kind of lulls you inot thinking this is easy work & they do make it look easy but anything done with cement is very labor intensive But my goodness this is something they can be proud of for the rest of their lives & willl do so much good at the same time
