For all the wannabe mechanics that think they know everything, this isn't an emergency brake. It's a parking brake. And a ridiculous design as the modules and motors are extremely expensive. Like $1,800 expensive. Another awful money grab idea from engineers and manufacturers as cable operated brakes are much cheaper overall.
Just completed top overhaul on 250K mile 2013 Prius 3 with many new parts installed, including Fire Motoo injectors purchased off Amazon for $52. Why would someone clean old ones, when new are cheap? Car now finished and transformation is amazing!
Ok, I'll step up here. If your planning to replace parts that tend to seize, like ball joints, then spray any mating surfaces with penetrating fluid (wd-40/PB blaster) a few days before working on them. This gives the oils time to work, I usually do it 2 days before hand but the longer the better.

Your smashing the spline shaft against the sides of the casing, using a massive 6 inch plus flat wire wheel? If you held the shaft end in one hand, and turned it slowly - using a Dremel wireless drill. You could use the right size wire wheels of about 1 inch dia wire wheels, flat, & cone shaped , brass, that dosent scratch the material ect. You wouldnt cause the damage. Iike using a lump hammer on a fine thread.
