I seen you at Storminthecastle and you were my favourite of the bands that played by a mile! You are a fantastic musician. The Johnny Cash medley thing was hilarious i was anticipating the Smoke on the Water and and Flight of the Bumblebee riffs and was grinning ear to ear when they came! What showmanship! Your guitar solos all absolutely ripped as well. Good job mate. As a Scot, ill be looking out for more of your performances if you play locally to me

Just reverse wiring. It has been done before sooo many times. It’s not a secret. Some configurations offer a switch to go from in phase to out of phase.
How did the Carvins of the 1980s get the out of phase just by flipping a mini toggle? All (or most) Carvins of that era have 3 mini toggle switches. The 2 that are side by side switch the appropriate pickup to humbucker/single, and the mini toggle above those switch the pickups to out-of-phase, when both pickups are selected. I'm the original owner of a late 1984 Carvin DC160T, and own several more 80s Carvins, and yes, the mini toggle really works making the pickups out of phase.
Absolutely spot on. Guitar gear is more about feel and ownership than the the tone. However the vintage sounded killer :) Great vid, looking forward to the next one. Reverbs please: analogue verses digital...... oh, and you put your hat on backwards silly..........
I have one in three tone sunburst that appears on my channel regularly, I did loads of research at the time and really loved how far they went to replicate an original '65. Mines a 2013 and I've done a bit of a relic job on it which you'll either love or hate but it really is my favourite guitar in my collection.
Great tones. I have a 30+ year old 62 style Strat (in E flat!) and a set of these 65 PV pickups and they sound phenomenal. The sound of Jimi's first couple of albums.
I have a stock 1967 Super Reverb too, but it baffles me how to get a useable tone. I’ve had a number of vintage Supers over the years. My favorite was a ‘68 that Weber gutted and ruined when I sent it to him to repair an intermittent noise, which I then sadly had to sell. This current ‘67 is stock but is all bass and cold as ice. It sounds like you were able to scrub off bass and warm yours up. Was that a problem for you and did changing filter caps accomplish that for you?
Great tone and playing as always! I need a blue guitar now Alex, I got an amp the other day that has surprised me ne. Its a PV Classic 50, 2 x 12. Sleeper Hope you are well, im melting i. The August Texas heat
My favorite by far! I've had several over the years and I have to say the 68 drip edges with the CTS alnicos are far above the rest. Same AB763 circuit; Whatever Schumacher did to their transformers at the time, they seem to have a bit more balls then the earlier 60s SR's...Awesome tone! Great video!
