IBM Research is a group of researchers, scientists, technologists, designers, and thinkers inventing what’s next in computing.
We’re relentlessly curious about all the ways that computing can change the world. We’re obsessed with advancing the state of the art in AI and hybrid cloud, and quantum computing. We’re discovering the new materials for the next generation of computer chips; we’re building bias-free AI that can take the burden out of business decisions; we’re designing a hybrid-cloud platform that essentially operates as the world’s computer. We’re moving quantum computing from a theoretical concept to machines that will redefine industries.
The problems the world is facing today require us to work faster than ever before. We want to catalyze scientific progress by scaling the technologies we’re working on and deploying them with partners across every industry and field of study. Our goal is to be the engine of change for IBM, our partners, and the world at large.
I am not the only idiot who thinks this is cool. And no it's not running Crysis. It is Crysis or Skynet .. I am hoping the force will be with multiple candidates here.. literally..
Okay, but can it run Crisys ? Hoping the answer is yes. JK This is some crazy stuff, and if it doesn't do qubit flip less often then I say well done. 130+ qubits is awesome news. Say goodbye to security guys
I'm working on my own system, have been for a few years now, and constantly find myself trying to decouple everything from everything. It's thus very interesting to me to see ideas from large smart teams. I wish someone just solved the problem, and I'd just copy it, LOL.
Thanks for shooting down my life-long dream of having an electron microscope to look at my album covers while listening to my stereo system at full-blast. 2 x 12" subwoofers included! Now I have no purpose nor reason to live. Alas
What? That was always a "bar trick" growing up. Ask someone how many times Lincoln appears on a penny. Most people only say one time because most don't know about the tiny Lincoln on the back.
