Beanies and weanies. Get some Bush's Grillin' Beans in a pot. Cook some hotdogs over a camp fire. Put the pot of beans over the fire. Once the dogs are cooked, cut em up and put em in the beans and let simmer. So good.

One Eyed Jacks: You pick out your favorite bread (mine is Sqaw or Sourdough). Cut a hole in the middle of the slice of bread. Butter your pan, place your slice of bread in and crack an egg in the hole of the bread. Flip when your bread is toasted and egg cooked to your liking.

My absolute favorite camping recipe is for a pie iron pizza pie. 2 slices of buttered white bread, pizza sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Close that bad boy up and throw it in the fire. Some of the best camp fire eating ever!

Favorite campfire recipe is dutch oven cobbler. Used to make it when my boys were in scouts and just made it again for my oldest son's bachelor party guys weekend. 2 cans pie filling in bottom, spread one box of cake mix over it, then slice 2 sticks butter. Can pour 1/2 can 7Up for added moisture. Cook with twice as many coals on lid as under, for 60min, rotating oven and lid in opposite directions every 15min.

Feel better Grant! Banana s'mores: 1. Cut the peel on a banana open lengthwise, don't remove the peel. 2. Hollow out a little trench about the width of your pinky finger in the banana meat. 3. Fill trench with chocolate bits from the bar of your choice E.g. Hershey's. 4. Add tiny marshmallows into banana trench with chocolate. 5. Squish chocolate, marshmallows and banana back into the banana skin and wrap whole banana with 1 layer of foil. 6. Place foil wrapped banana in coals of fire (usually after the fire has calmed down a bit) for about 5-10 minutes, or until done to your liking. 7. Remove from coals, unwrap foil and enjoy cooked banana with a spoon or fork.

I would say they don't deserve a chance to correct it ....looks like a seven year old did it . We all deserve to know who they are. Trust me , they expressed their concern with customer satisfaction already , they will only yank your chain for as long as you allow them ...talk to an attorney. People like that make me sick and it needs to be reported .

Dont worry about getting more organized, because your short term memory is going to fail and you'll have to. Better organization and making much better use of mornings are the two silver linings to being over 40.

Call your lawyer and have them cease construction any further. Tell everyone who they are and save them the stress . Sue for a replacement shed if you didn't get it from them and any other expenses + the stress of it all .

Yo Hoser! fellow canuck here. I bought a 89 Hilux Surf (aka 4Runner) from a dude in Armstrong. You know where that is. right hand drive, turbo diesel, 10K km, mint condition. Loved it. Moved to Cowtown (calgary), worked great. Moved to Palm Springs Cali, sucked bad. Canadian speeds are fine, but getting up to 65 m/hr in Cali and maintaining it's speed was really hard on it. I did baby that thing. But the heat didnt help. Ended up blowing the head gasket. (common) That little blue canon you got there is cool around town and for fun, but i fear a short life on freeway speeds and elevation. Just my 2 cents, eh? oh and hey, a liter of milk, half a block of butter and a box of Kraft Dinner and then kick it up a notch with some Montreal Steak Spice. Then followed by a small box of Timbits. Enjoy.

Enjoy watching you so much! We are rebuilding a cabin after our first one was destroyed by a tornado. Favorite go to meals are wraps, cold leftover pizza, chicken nacho bowls with rostessire chicken, queso blanco and crushed corn or tortilla chips. Cheesedogs over a fire with buns. Super simple!

Long time subscriber, first time commenter. You’re an inspiration my good man. I’m in the middle of a porch build at my house and it’s on the outer rim of what I’d say is in my wheelhouse. I keep telling myself - if I only do one board or one piece of trim, I am getting closer to finishing. Embrace the journey. Sandwiches are life.

Hey buddy you are finally figuring it out huh, you got to stop and smell the roses. You got lots of time for the cabin but it would be nice if your kids could enjoy it as well. :) Now you got to pay attention to this idea of a good meal at the "camp", and it don't involve something that you need a recipe for and take all day to cook it. For one person, "you" take about a half lb. of ground beef, mix in a good bunch of onions, fry it in the pan, add a small can of beans, mix it up good and get it good and hot, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee if you prefer and you have the easiest and best grub for the camp meal, don't forget salt and pepper and garlic powder to taste. Will be watching for your next trip!!! Ross---Nova Scotia

I do this on a campfire in a Dutch oven. Sear venison, add onion celery carrot, once cooked down add a touch of bourbon, add black beans and chicken stock then let it go until you are ready to eat. All the “work” is done in the first 20 minutes. Cheers!

Camping Brie: wheel of brie, brown sugar, butter. Score the top, melt in a pan or Dutch Oven. Serve with French Bread. Perfect for middle of nowhere appetizers, especially in rainy, cold weather! Alternate to top with raspberry spread or other fruit.

Well, since I could use , one of those openers ;o) ,my Summer Cabin is right in Arctic Circle, Finland, on Ounasjoki River, might still go there this Summer???, I live in South Florida though, since 1985. When I get to my Off Grid Cabin, no electricity,..... well Solar now, no running water, Outhouse,....., closest Gas Station/ Restaurant , Store, only 6 min away though;o), here is what I make there , at least couple times: I boil, like days before, those Petit, new Potatoes, plenty of them, then eat those small, sweet 'Dutch' potatoes with onion-butter sauce, and herrings!!!, next day I fry potatoes with onions, sausage, left over meatballs,+ what ever you have.....,Green pepper, garlic, and Boy, is that the best Lunch/ Dinner, whatever, and it taste so, so good, always eat outside, on a River, or on my Pier, looking at the River, or if raining, inside, looking at Flames from Fireplace. Anything taste better at Off Grid Cabin, even morning coffee, which I always do Old Fashion way, boil water first, then just Filter coffee , straight to a Cup ! Cheers, Peace !=)

One of the things I have struggled with this year is dehydration, I drink a great deal of water but the salts get low and I get foggy. Try adding a hydration drink to your routine daily. I use Mountain Ops, but there are a ton of them out there. Now, for a meal...nothing beats a good breakfast! diced unpeeled red potatoes, onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder, crushed rosemary and a dash of cayenne pepper to your heat level cooked up in olive oil and butter. Want bacon? Cook it up, then cut it up and toss it into the potatoes at the end, then top the spuds with cheese. 2 eggs, over easy, plate the potatoes, then slide the eggs right on top! Dash of Tabasco and boom! Breakfast! I eat very well while camping and have used a camp stove pretty much exclusively for the last 10 years lol...
