Welcome to my RU-vid Channel - a mix of old Indiana University basketball and football games, some cooking videos, and some random pieces of culture I've uploaded over the years. You can reach me on Twitter at @doctorgc.
Remember this game…was there as a student and had the floor seats behind the backboard. Right behind where Michael Lewis drilled ole Jaaks. Fun game. Turner balled out on senior night.
I love ALL republicans including knight says schools and parents- well he is a rich guy who can afford the Mom to stay at home- you want 1955 again- ok well make wages HI support unions and keep costs down...
Love watching any games, old or recent IU plays. I remember my first time of being at ASSEMBLY HALL and I loved every minute.....the crowd gets into the games n they get loud. LOVEthr HOOSIERS
2000: Left my Philosophy class at Sycamore Hall, staggered up behind the stage. Wondered what it was that everyone loved so much about IU basketball. Kept on walking to Nick’s English for a little post-class pow-wow, aided by jambalaya and cheap bud light. 2002: Newton grabs the rebound, secures it, IU beats Duke, and I’m crying tears of joy at the bottom of a pigpile underneath 6 dudes on the floor. So…a belated thanks to Coach Knight for building this thing we love. And thanks to Coach Davis for getting that plane down safe on the runway. Wild ride. Time of our lives.
This man would give the world for his players because he expected the best from them. It’s sad people call him a ‘bully’ because of what the media portrayed. People are so dumb these days because they believe anything the media feeds them. Look at his graduation rate. Look how he took care of players. Oh wait, you won’t because it wasn’t on TMZ or some other BS site. This is what the country needs. More men like him. But sadly everyone falls for the Government BS and will be slaves to them forever.
Aarrrggghhh 😩 Where's the rest of the game? I'm working on just being grateful that I got to watch this much. Love seeing the commercials from the original broadcast. 👍
Been a few months since you posted some games. I look forward to when you put games on for us to enjoy from the Knight era. Please continue as you are able. Thank you.
wow this is amazing , only ever see clips where they make him the ass, here we get other side of story.,...its too bad roy style is annoying, telling him things he did instead of asking about it ... but yeah when he said what he did about pat on senior night, he knew that was about as big confirmation of his love and being proud of him to do so on the biggest stage ..
I worked as a lighting person on these interviews (hidden behind the black screen in the interview room) --lit primarily with a "china ball" paper lantern light. Of interest is one of the camera persons was Albert Maysles who co-directed the documentary "Gimme Shelter" the 1970 film about the Rolling Stones Altamont concert. He used his original 16mm Aaton camera (shooting black and white film) which had these clever modifications including a dental mirror and number markings painted backwards so they could be read in the mirror, and a light meter mounted onto the camera. Thanks for posting!
