If I had two cents for every time Pehnk played a video game in which he goes to space with a taxi, I would have 2 cents. Which is not a lot, but it's weird that it has happened twice.
Quite similar vibe wise, I would say head to head I like battle for bikini bottom better but I love an indie game that could realistically be the start of a new IP
I keep being surprised that no one remembers Good Time Garden, their other project. It’s WILD, incredibly… horrifying is a good word. Lots of sexual… stuff? Tons of body horror. All wrapped up in their super cute style of animation.
As someone that had this video be my first exposure to your channel (Thank you youtube recommendations, for once) You NEED to play American Arcadia next! It is one of the best games! Super fun, super meta, and super engaging, I highly recommend it! And this style of video is perfect for it, or at least the way you covered everything, it's perfect.

Great game I must say. Thankfully Boosteroid I can discover an amazing world of this game. And their library of games is huge. I highly recommend giving it a try!
So that live action footage is not stock footage, its Test Footage from an early hand crank camera that was *stable* enough to operate on a moving vehicle, which means the footage was prolly in black and white originally. Thanks to advancing video editing tools and techniques, old hand crank footage can be colorized and have their speed stablized, making them look as good as color VHS recordings! Wild, eh?

I think you can see the guy who gives you sausages through a hole (don’t think other things) outside the big pies stores sitting in a bench but I’m not pretty sure
9:20 i dont think anyones quite caught onto it, but this is actually a joke about processed meats. The talking.. meat faces (ew) are different animals talking about their death (or something along that line, at least) So while it looks like a ham that hes cutting, we can interpret though the freaky scene that its actually just an amalgamation of different processed meats put together, which is fairly common everywhere (also explains why ron might not use his stuff regularly- its cheaper in qaulity lol)
yay I enjoyed playing this one. It recreates the feeling of the Scottish Hebridean islands VERY well! Chinese Room went on to make an Amnesia spin-off, A Machine For Pigs and a new one recently on a Scottish oil rig I think. They're great at stories and slow burn atmosphere. Additionally, Jessica Curry is a superb soundtrack artist. Her score on games is great.
I didn't realize machine for pigs was by them until I was doing research after but every game theyve made is on my wish list or in my library so you know its good. The directors commentary on the game was super interesting which included some of the information on deciding how to do the music!
@@Pehnk ooh nice, I never knew there was a directors commentary tbh, maybe it was added to this new version of the game. Machine For Pigs often gets overlooked because the gameplay wasn't very traditional survival horror (they like the story driven walking sim stuff) but the creepiness and subject matter combined with the atmosphere is impressive. One of those stories that sticks in your mind and comes back every now and again

Well apparently at one point not only was mercury used in products before we knew it was posioness i guess people took it. Kinda like asbestos but i dont understand the bismuth cause that seems even more out there than the mercury.

The guy whose chimney you go down is named Rod, and he's Megg's husband. Megg says he called her distressed that a little man keeps coming down thier chimney, nice detail
@@Pehnk Apparently when you do the sick guy confined to the bed quest to make the soup for the ending you can knock on the doors in the hallway. Apparently someone can let you in.
@@Pehnki think you missed the brick guy all the way to the left. Hes the older guy struggling to lift the metal shutter. You can help him move it up by hitting the metal shutter. Later on you have to hit the brick wall to change the scene. After that you will see a guy who looks homeless in the hole in the brick wall trying to heat up some beans. You have to hit the beans. You'll get an achievement for this.
@@theghostoftheuchiha1999 Hey, yeah I did that at the end of the video actually. I always try to play through the first time without looking at a guide or anything so I just missed it the first time and then I played through again after to clean up that achievement. Thanks for the tip though!
