Really don‘t have an answer for that mate. I split the signals so I have more room blocks to be added into the chain. But why I split the cab section, no idea. Like that sound better for a while 😂 currently going with 2 cabs again. Cheers Buri
Man, these points are all so important. The mental aspects of trying to build something from the ground up are hard and "no one is waiting for you" is the one thing I had to learn with Atropas especially. You need to do it for the love of it. Consistency is key and one day, it'll be fruitful, for both of us, Akhi! We'll get there! ❤
what's the Buster approach? :-D I add an octave pedal and a fuzz pedal to my existing rhythm tone. Tweak around a bit and then I have this madness of a guitar tone :-) And in the song, I have 2 guitar tracks with the normal rhythm tone and then 2 additional tracks with the octave tone. So 4 performances of the same riff. cheers
@@buricaliskan I think that Buster from Humanity Last breath creates a new stem with the DI pitchshifted -1 octave but only keeps with the frequencies below 180hz or something like that. Like to provide more fatness to the guitar tone. But I like your approach! I will give it a try! Sounds phenomenal
Love deftones since WP came out, the song is really cool, love how you incorporated some deftones stuff but it is still your song. Also I am a drop A guy myself, the best tuning but I really struggle to find a good string set for it, I fell like my next move is just to buy a 6 string set and an individual string for the heavy A.
Hey Adam, thank you for the nice words 😁 Glad you enjoyed it! As for the string gauge, on my normal 7 string guitars I used the d‘addario exl110-7 (10-59) Somehow that worked, but I also used to have 11-64 for a while. Which helped with the low string but the higher strings were a pain 😂 And also, fanned frets help with these kind of issues. Cheers
@@jmagill1234 sorry I didn‘t understand the first part of the question. Are you asking which brand of strings you should get? And regarding the fanned frets, if you look closely at my guitar, you can see the the frets are wider apart on the lowest string than on the highest string. Because of that, the lower strings have more tension. It‘s kinda difficult to explain it via youtube comment. But I am sure if you google „multi-scale“ or „fanned frets“ you‘ll immediately see what it is 😁 Cheers
@@buricaliskan TIL (today I learned). Sorry to be unclear. I bought the same strings on amazon last night and they're outside on the porch now. Also, I never understood the purpose of fanned frets, but now I do so thank you. (:
Me:“Dad I want Deftones“ 3 Star Michelin Riff Master Burak:“We have Deftones at home, habibi“ Me:“Thank god“ Also, the way I laughed that this is the one time you record a DI hahahah
I didn't hear any FEEL. What happened to just playing with FEEL? All this shredding without the pentatonic has me questioning if you even ever heard of Eric Clapton or David Gilmour? Fast notes with no FEEL is not MUSIC.
Bro I've watched this video so many times because I'm saving to buy one of these things and your excitement (and tones) just have me feeling so stoked to get back into having a live rig.
Duude what a nice comment that was 😁👌 I can imagine how you feel, I was also sooo excited when I finally decided to get one. Let me know if I can help out when you have it! Cheers
Hey Buri how you doing? Wanted to ask you how do you connect Quad cortex with audio interface and record into your DAW? Is it the usual thing and do you tweak preset or any setting for it to sound good? Thank you
Thanks for your comment! So I connect my Quad Cortex with the Interface using XLR cables. And the Interface is connected with my PC and my DAW. I have a couple presets ready to go, so usually I can just go pick the sound that I want. But for example if I try using a preset for the first time, I will always check if I have to tweak anything. Since this session was just getting the ideas out and "demo"ing the song, I didn't tweak anything. It was more important to get the idea out and see what can be done with it :-) Hope that helps Cheers
completely fine akhi.. I wasn't even sure if I was going to go through with it because I was kinda nervous hitting the "GO LIVE" button 😀 what do you think of the stream quality? It was pretty OK right? I think I'll do that more often now that I know how.. cheers
I have 2 electric guitars I've been playing without an amp for 2,5 years just bought an shitty amp 3 months ago plugins doesn't sound good on standart speakers so I didn't use them either. Irony is one of them is a strat and other one is pretty good humbuckered schecter guitar like it does matter i play without an amp, next year if i have money i'll buy a processor
I think depending on what you are trying to achieve, it might not be the worst idea to play without an amp. I used to play without an amp because my amp was at the rehearsal space, before I had a "home-studio" and I can give you 1 postive and 1 negative side effect of that. The positive one is for sure, I was properly hitting the strings, because without an amp, I wanted to be louder. So when I played with an amp, even without much gain, my tone was pretty heavy. (Playing Metal of course.) When playing cleans I adjusted my strenght and hit the strings a bit softer :-D But the negative side effect was I had to re-learn to keep the noise in control. Because at home, without an amp, there is also no feedback regardless of how your technique is. And also I think there are lots of people using the plugins with headphones, so that might be another solution in the meantime until you buy a modeler. Thanks for your time cheers
@@buricaliskan plugins did not sound good wihout headphones and monitors so i just played like that. I spend my only money to upgrade to a proper guitar when i had the chance and now I have blackstar idcore 20 but idk it does not sound great either but I must make do with what I have. Thank you for taking the time; I really appreciate it. Love watching your videos.
I was struggling w ableton lite, the limitations, not knowing how to mix and master, I just want to get better at writing songs. I have recently bought reaper and a good template for it and it makes my life way easier. This guy offers his cubase template for free, what a gentleman. What a great voice you have man, are you sure you want to play guitar? 😅
He is truly a gentleman for giving it away for free 😁👌 I am very glad to hear that you found a better way to realize your ideas using reaper. I also heard alot of good stuff about that DAW 💪 And thanks for the compliment but I think I‘ll stick to the guitar for the forseeable future 😂 Cheers
