Mick Mars is a boss He was the difference. He was more influenced by people like Jimmy Page and Duane Allman and Jeff Beck, the guys , as he says here , who played solos that you will hum . Memorable solos. And his tone was always more ear catching than the other bands of the 80s. Looks That Kill, Knock Em Dead Kid, Girls, , etc had both killer tone and memorable solos . So he accomplished what he set out to do with his guitar playing.
Micks a great player his greatest asset is knowing the business top to bottom anyone who doesn’t believe he carried the band is out of touch with reality.
The thing that I could never understand when Def Leppard put out I'm pretty sure it was like their first greatest hits CD and it was called the vault and there was not one song from on through the night!! WHY?
I used to think he wasn't that good...and he isn't that great compared to shredded guitar heroes...but he was part of great songs and riffs that will last forever till the ends of the earth
Love Mick Mars the sound of motley Crüe. And to think the rest of the band tried to shaft him. I’ve lost any respect I ever had about them. Mick Mars great sound.
micks tone and riffs on those first two albums are some of the most filthy, raunchy guitar ever recorded. Too young to fall in love, live wire, looks that kill, 10 seconds to love even a slower tune like starry eyes. Mick is criminally underrated. That riff starting the chorus of looks that kill cmon!
Savatage a favorite band of mine for many years, I would like to tell Savatage fans that Jesus Christ loves you. Seek Him. Lay your heart and life at His feet. ❤
