I thought that was AI, as it'd be tasteless to take away the autonomy of someone recently passed, only to be relieved that it's actually the voice of Ken Page singing Poot Unfortunate Souls live. Thanks for providing the links😅
I’ve lost too many actors and actresses from my childhood and teen years that I admired, over the past couple months! Hopefully, he’ll be the last one for a while. RIP my first favorite Baritone.
... the day I learned Ken Page had passed away was a day when I couldn't help but sing "The Oogie Song" from TNBC at work literally hours before then. Maybe it was the October atmosphere. Maybe I felt something was off. We'll miss you, Ken Page.
What makes hearing Ken Page singing poor unfortunate soul so special to me was because there’s a artist on deviantART who made a little mermaid au with all of Tim Burton characters, and of course, Oogie boogie was in Ursula’s place, I really hope that Ken page saw as many of the fan art that was out there it’s sad that he’s gone
I loved this whole animatic! It was very creative seeing the "Nightmare Before Christmas" elements mesh with the staging of 'Poor Unfortunate Souls,' along with having Oogie Boogie making sweet harmony with King Gator. RIP Ken Page, and thanks for sharing your amazing voice with us.
This is incredible! I LOVED the Poor Unfortunate Souls animatic! That's actually the first I've seen! And that last bit 😢. I actually MET him at a convention (possibly one of his last). He was a pretty nice guy, and I even got a picture with him and Chris (Jack Skellington). I will treasure it to be sure. Rest in peace to a legend who scared and thrilled us.
This is an incredible tribute. Ken Page will certainly be missed, but he will always be remembered for bringing both King Gator and Oogie Boogie to life, animation wise. (I know he has quite a few stage credits to his name, but still) 💚
