Happy to hear when people admit that there’s more than one way to do most of these things. That tells me that you have an open mind which is required to work with different horses.

Matt, do you offer any kind of clinics or training?

I have actually gotten out of training horses, so sorry! At one point in time I did offer both training and clinics.

Hey Matt, thanks for the reply. Just a bit of background...I'm 53 and a fairly experienced rider. I have to brothers-in-law (45 and 47 years old) both experienced as well. We are trying to get to the next level in our horsemanship. We live in Oregon and we'd haul over to you. We're looking for a one or two day teaching scenario. If you'd ever be interested in something like that, let me know. You are super talented and we'd love to lean from you! :)

1) should be done in a snaffle......not 2 handing on a shank bit...

Matt Goodson I just really enjoyed this. I have a 7 year old mare that I have had for 6 months. All she had ever done was gone straight and tracked calfs. As i try to improve my horsemanship and her ability to be a good all around horse i look for real world examples. I am watching your hands and feet and it's showing me places where i need to improve. Thank you

Could you please make a video or give some tips for getting a horse to be soft in the face like she is?

Thanks Matt. Kinda reinforced my thoughts on bringing a rein across a horses neck.
