Great video - burgers looked fantastic. Good to see you using the knife you made. Must admit I winced when you grabbed for the piece of wood you were splitting whilst holding the knife 😖

@@Jess_Outdoors637 Exactly Jess I wasn't trying to be condescending but I watch another channel called Lundy's wild camping (lol or something like that). And he was chopping wood and a pheasant took off behind him and he nearly chopped his thumb off. Can happen to anyone - take care<3

@@alexanderwright9064 I have smoked/dehydrated them but it doesn’t improve the taste in my opinion. They are best taken home and used for jam, apple pie or fruit crumble 🙂

Jess, we use a head net fits over the cap for flys midges etc. Do u have them in your country.? At least until u get the fire and Citronella going.

@JC.1-e7y I'm looking forward to some winter ones. In Darwin, we only have a dry season and a wet season. It's always 30 plus Max all year. Celsius.

How are you managing the bugs spiders ect very brave I must admit lol I do a lot camping couldn't do sleeping on the forest floor though 🫡

Thank you! I managed the bugs with a combination of camp fire smoke, citronella incense sticks and a wee mosquito light! I do show them in the “day 1” video while unpacking if you want to see them 🙂

Wow those knives are amazing! I must confess as you started cooking the steak then showed the pot with the bonding agent in and started adding what I would guess was charcoal, I thought it was going to be part of the meal 😂😂 . Great work 👍.
