We went on Utopia this past weekend. The first day was cancelled because of Hurricane Milton and they decided not to go to Nassau because of the loss of day. Then we got to Coco Cay and it was pouring down rain for most of the time we were there. A few hours later we were on our way back to Port Canaveral. I want to give them another chance but it’s hard to think about spending that much money for something that they pretty much knew was going to happen.
Wow! We were on MSC Seashore last week when Milton hit. (Check out our video “Surviving Milton”) It was quite the experience. The first few days was raining/windy, but the ship was not rocky. We then went to Ocean Cay which is a very beautiful island. Not nearly commercialized as Coco Cay. The weather was nice. Then we headed to Nassau and the weather was also beautiful there. Milton hit Port Canaveral Wednesday night and we were suppose to return on Thursday. The Coast Guard reported that we had to stay as sea an extra day. Friday morning on our way back it was very rocky, but we made it safely. Sorry, you were not able to get the experience the excursions. What did you think about the ship (Utopia)?
So your upset bc they don’t have just chicken options no one just eats chicken this cruise caters to a lot of peoples taste buds. I have never been on a cruise but this is the first video that pissed me off bc you really had so much negative stuff to say like they are only supposed to cater to you and i normally don’t comment on you tube videos but this was very misleading.
We didn’t mean to upset you or anyone by giving our honest personal experience and opinion. We have been on over 10 cruises and have experienced much better than what Utopia offers and it is clearly not a ship for us.
Yeah, we had this trip planned months ago and have cruised in October several times in the past. Everything worked out, but it was an experience we will never forget!

Hello! I believe they will have something special, like Thanksgiving food in the restaurants and/or some kind of theme. There is no extra cost for the gym. You are going to love Celebrity!

I went on the labor day cruise with my parents, husband and 2 little kids for 4 nights and we had a ball! I would have to disagree with you on being a full party cruise as there were lots of activities and areas that were nice for all of us and we loved it!! Going back with adults only next time for a diff experience. We had a nice quiet ocaen view balcony which we always book. Sounds like you should stick with the Celebrity cruise line or the luxury ones for what you all like. And I love SORRENTO's!!
You are incredibly negative about everything. It's a cruise people that want a balcony for the boardwalk don't care about privacy and they defiantly don't need you to feel sorry for them. Have you ever eaten outside at a restaurant in a city? It's loud and cars honk horns and play loud music it's no different. Good video but your review needs work even if you don't like things.

Thanks for your very informative stream. Question please. We are sailing on the Beyond next week and given an 830 dinning time. When dinning in the complimentary restaurants, are we obligated to dine only at our assigned time or may we dine at an earlier time? Which of the four complimentary restaurants did you prefer? Thanks
Great questions! If I recall correctly, they prefer you go at your assigned time, but they accept walk-ins. Tuscan was our favorite…delicious Italian food! Thanks for commenting and please consider subscribing if have not already. It really helps the channel.
I'm not an alcoholic so I didn't get the drink package but I do enjoy a few beers. The Utopia charges $10 for a 12oz Miller lite! They charged $3 for a bag to put the $120 worth of gifts that my wife purchased in the gift shop. Oh yeah, they charge you $2.50 for a small bag of popcorn outside the aqua show. Nickel and dime you to death!
I appreciate your review. Everything is not for everybody. Im planning a cruise with my parents and grandparents and even though I want to go on this ship because of its newness this will not be an option for us as this will be my grandparents first cruise...But this is perfect for a cruise with a group of friends. Do you have any suggestions for a cruise that's more suitable?

We're sailing on Beyond in December, and are "beyond" excited! We were on Edge earlier this year, then made the mistake of taking Princess last month and really felt the difference. This will be our fourth cruise with Celebrity, and we agree with all your great observations!
I don’t recall an incidental fee, but the incidental fee at the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort and Spa in Jamaica is probably security deposit of $200 per room. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out, but is subject to a damage inspection of the room.
We went on Utopia of the Seas and had an amazing time. Althouth the cruise is short, some cruisers book back to back to either make it a 6 night or 7 night cruise on Utopia. We ate at the specialty restaurants and Chops were very good along with several others. Overall I guess it's whats important to each individual.
Great job with Beyond highlights! Just got off Celebrity Beyond with my hubby, it is an absolute gem. It's the first time we came off a cruise feeling there's so much more we wanted to do on the ship that we'd consider cruising on Beyond again. At least 2 different shows nightly between Eden & the Theater, so many dining options, we could have a completely different experience the next time. Quality food with variety, friendly staff, and the newer contemporary ship made it feel like a 5-star hotel experience. The embarkation & muster process was so quick & smooth too. I have no reason to go back on NCL or try Royal Caribbean.
@@LeadByLivingTravelwe are so excited. Not sure what excursions to do. I ended up with mostly catamaran excursions. Not sure if we will get burnt out on those? Selections sort of limited.
I agree! Three and four day sailings are just to short considering I have to fly to in a day early, stay at a hotel and then by the time you are settled in, it’s time to disembark. Especially with a mega ship like Utopia of the Seas. There’s so much to do and you’ve just started on day two or three.
celebrity is good for you guys, you like music but not the party vibe. they advertise this ship; as the ultimate weekend, not the ultimate lay around ship. it still lacks for me, activities with crew and the same boring music. maybe princess is good for you also. hopefully they will extend this ship to 3-5 night cruises for the price.
I had a very hard day at work and this helps me get better and this brings back such great memories of when I use to be a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid and I am a new subscriber as well:).

Deal breaker for me even though the resort may be nice, I cannot justify paying $50 for mandatory valet parking. With the price of the rooms, parking should be free. Guess this one will be on my "not to do " list.
My family is planning to go on a second cruise, and we are choosing between Utopia and Allure. However, drive-wise from our home, the port for Utopia is the closest. Your video helps a lot and we are excited to have another cruise.
My second video of yours and again it was most enjoyable. Have been to Coco Cay prob 20X over the years, but not since this miraculous makeover. Looks much more interesting now!

It just depends on your preference. If you prefer a more kid friendly environment, I recommend Ventus or Marina, but for more of an adult setting, go with Ventus Ha.
Giovanni’s did not think there patio seating very well. I agree with her, it’s a bit weird to sit in certain seats where if someone comes onto their balcony you’ll both be starring at each other. It’s awkward seating because you are very close, so close you could eat together. I never felt Central Park was anything like Central Park in NY. As far as Boardwalk, you can’t expect to not hear the music. It’s a ship and that’s what gets the vibes going. We just got off this ship and everyone enjoyed the ship. They had an area for everyone, whether you are a party person or want something more laid back. The main dining, the food had ZERO flavor. The speciality restaurants, really good. I would say it’s way too short to fit everything into a weekend, which is why many are doing back to back. I personally wouldn’t do back to back on this ship. For that cost I rather choose a longer sailing going to multiple different ports.
