Anyone successfully installed intercom in this helmet? I'm considering Sena SF4, 10R, or adjusting a 10U to fit the helmet. I just want the outside part to be as little as possible.
Just wonder why need to adjust the charing head orientation according to make the phone portrait to landscape or the otherway around. Quad lock can simply make it to circle plate than can rotate your phone anytime when riding.
I have jsut got mine delivered today. For some reason when I try it on the way the jacket rest on my shoulder it looks like I left a coat hanger inside and for some reason it bundles up at the rear side of my shoulders looking very awkward. Do you have a suggestion what could be the issue? Size or it simply doesnt fit my shoulders. I am 5'11 semi athletic build. I dont know why looks so awkward on me.
I was about to buy one at 239.00 Canadian but after watching this great honest video I no longer want it as I would not like a constant wind whistle and also not be able to take the visor off to install the pin lock. Good thing I watched this before buying.
Great series. I am not as positive about the hole that wore clean through on the knee. Relying on the knee armor padding is really not great. I guess this is he sacrifice you make with one layer material.. Not having 2 layers at the knee of all areas seems pretty weak.
This video feels much more like a marketing video than an actual review... Hard to trust a "Full Review" when there isn't even a mention of possible negatives.
Just bought this same helmet, same colors. Its on sale,joined rpm got an extra 15 bucks. Stepped up from a scorpion r420.Photochromatic shield an im going to call it a day. Hope i nvr need it.
I have a AGV K6s helmet that was made in 23'. This light barely fits but it does fit. I can definitely feel the weight but my helmet is insanely light weight so this light is adding a significant jump in weight on my helmet. If you look for a sale you can get these currently for like $120 and, as everyone else is saying, it's a automatic buy.
Thanks for a very informative video. Do you think these would be ok comfort-wise for 8hrs a day in the office (with only little walking)? I know i'd be more comfortable with touring boots but i would like the extra protection and the looks.
Well 3 weeks after this video been uploaded i had my accident, got t-boned by a granny, and i had regular leather boots - get the riding boots, better have this kind of fractures than an open minced fracture along with broken ankle bones, been 9 months already and still cant walk as before
Just had this a few weeks now, and since it is starting to become winter where I live, I rode early with my winter gloves. Thick af. Never had an issue with the button.
This has been my 4 season go to jacket for 4 years and its holding up well. Bought it at Cycle Gear because I have to try it on for fitment before I buy. Motorcycle jackets are wildly inconsistent in their sizing. I’m 6’5”, 225 lbs, 46” chest, 38” waist and the XXLT fits perfectly (having this in tall sizes was a huge selling point). I could go XLT but I layer underneath, including a Klim A1 Rally airbag vest, to keep it 4 season. I tossed the liner and wear better base and mid-layers for riding 30-95F on a fully-fared touring bike. The 600D cordura polyester throughout for abrasion resistance is good for the price. There is better, but at a huge price jump. I have ridden through light rain and showers with no leaking. Venting is really good, but at 75+ I wear a Klim Induction mesh, only because I got it from Santie Claus. The weak and sticky zippers is my only real complaint. Would I buy it again? No, but only because I will up the abrasion resistance that a higher end Klim, Aerostich or Motoport offers.
Nice review but I'm gonna push back a little bit. Breaking your leg like that is not specific to riding a motorcycle - it can happen in any number of ways such as a car accident, playing sports, falling off a ladder or a bicycle, hiking, etc. Now are you gonna wear motorcycle boots (or equivalent) in any of those situations? No of course not. You can also break your leg like that in a place not protected by the boots. So while I do get your point which is totally valid, I don't think it should turn anyone off from short boots completely but rather convince you that you should always have a pair of long boots with decent ankle protection in your gear bag and that you wear them most of the time. I have long and short boots - I love to wear the short boots to work (or on any commute), to bike nights and demo days. My long boots are for aggressive riding or when I just feel the need for extra protection that day no matter the type of ride. Now I will mention this fantastic feature about the Alpinestars SMX-6 - with those you get short boot comfort with long boot protection; I've sat on bar stools and in restaurant booths in complete comfort. But on a hot day where I'm not going on an aggressive ride (or when I'm going to do a bit of walking) I'd rather wear my shorties. Also if you wear shorties I recommend high end ones that are basically a race boot cut in half.

I’m just struggling which one I should go with. I have busa but I’m just street rider no race or tracking and I have wild feet.
I know this video is 2 years old (Congrats on still getting this video recommended!), but I'd love to see a review of the 509 Mach V helmet! There are absolutely no reviews of the helmet, and I think it looks great (Similar to the Airflite). I want to get one, but I don't know what it's like. Great video as well. I'll be taking a look at your more recent videos and subscribing!
I have been riding with the Atomic 5,0 about 4 years. No crash, but it has held up great. I see where it lacked in abrasion resistance. I looked into replacing it with a KLIM Latitude, and it may be marginally better for abrasion resistance, but the armor, vents and pockets are nearly the same, and I tried it on and it hangs like a sack. I couldn't see the $800 price tag as that big of an improvement. A major step up in protection means Aerostich, Motoport, Klim Kodiak, etc. I stuck with my Rocket and I now wear a Klim A1 Airbag underneath.
I also had trubble pressing the power/mode button. It has to be depressed below the top edge making it extremely hard to use. Simple solution, I super glued 3xM3 washers to the top of the power button. Glue one at a time so you can press and get a strong bond. Once all 3 are on the button will only be .06in or 1.7mm taller, but this greatly makes the button easier to press!
Why can't I find the Cortech website? I am interested in the Cortech Revo Sport RR but can't find any additional information about them beyond the selling websites.
Probably, depending on the phone mode you have. . But there is a universal adapter you can put on a phone case. And they even sale a small kickstand separately that can go with it. Just keep in mind to use a phone case you don't mind getting a bit rough with.
I just got mine and in the process of putting on. It seems like it could almost fall off the helmet mount? I'm not talking about the stick part but where the light attaches to the mount. It's that kind of lose, could it not fall off when taking the helmet off the head? It just seems so lose.
I wear a pair of Dyneema single layer jeans but I also wear a pair of Hodd jeans overtop of them when I ride my zx14r (both pants have hip and knee pads). The Hood jeans were very bulky but the fit is perfect on top of the single layer jeans (hence I decided not to return them).
