pros do this because pros 9/10 hit headshots so light shields are a better buy as it's cheaper and you would be dead regardless of what shield you have but silver braindead idiots who's crosshair mops the floor are more like to hit body shots so the more body shots you can take with heavy shields equals more fights won so heavy is better at lower elo
