Saw Petty a few times when I was younger and so was he, in Philadelphia where I lived when I was younger. Been a drummer since the age of five, sixty now, and of all my idols who passed over the years, I can honestly say, I miss Tom Petty more every day as if he was family.

Life gets in the way ! He is a musician not a hero .. a good musician but no different then your favorite plumber or electrician

So hard to watch this and watch him limping across the stage knowing the pain must have been excruciating at times. The stress alone of knowing you have to show up cuz you have families that depend on you showing and all your workers and your band members and everybody at the stadium and all your fans want to see you.... The stress must have been ridiculous! To whomever videotaped this kudos to you for getting as close as you did!

My Dad and I loved ONE Artist, only Artist we ever agreed on entirely 💙 He passed 7 months ago and NOW- almost any Tom Petty song I've ever sang along to with my hair in the breeze is now a sobbing remix of that... I'm crying, can't help it

You can see that he is limping. I understand that kind of pain as I have back and hip issues. I can see how someone can accidentally overdose on painkillers when you’re in extreme discomfort. You will do almost anything to get away from the pain. Sad that it happened to a legend.
