Restaurant choices are good here but the pics aren’t accurate. The Hodad’s location shown is not the downtown location. That is the Ocean Beach location. Also, the menu shown for Las Cuatro Milpas is definitely not their menu. They have basic Mexican food but nothing that is listed on that menu.
Ok first: both Lure and Finney’s are actually chain restaurants and not that good I mean they are fine but you can do so much better. Second: any local knows that Santa Barbara shellfish company and the Boathouse are the same company with the same menu items. If you go to both and wonder why everything is just fine and tastes familiar this is why (but boathouse views are fabulous). Now. There are some good choices on this list (four to be precise but The Palace is closing locals are very sad) the rest are mediocre and you can do so much better. My suggestion when visiting Santa Barbara hang out at the courthouse across from the county admin building around five pm and ask a local. They will likely point you right across the street to Secret Bao which outshines most on this list.
