Here in asia this is common... My parents and all my friends parents are married for more than 25 years and counting... And it'll last until both die...I found my love in europe... 2 years together now and will be forever together until we both pass away... Most important thing i feel is dropping the i don't give a shit... I can get whatever man/women i want and accepting don't worry we'll get through this together attitude.... Happy for you man... Maybe it has nothing to do with Christians (as a group of individuals). It is possible to work as hard as possible, grow, learn/create and still never be successful. Success is never guaranteed. Jesus worked as hard as possible and completely failed in the end.

@@RabidxDog Thanks for asking. First of all, the reason that Jesus came to us was to save us from sin by dying on the cross. If we confess our sins, repent and accept His gift of salvation, our sins are forgiven and we have eternal life in heaven after our death in this life. Jesus clearly said that His Kingdom isn't of this world. From where did you hear that he tried so hard to change the world? He directed us towards heaven, making us understand the brevity of life, teaching us to love God and each other, exhorting us to spread love and kindness, etc. He even said things were going to be more difficult, people would hate each other and wage wars against other nations, famine and diseases would spread across the globe, evil people would multiply and make good people suffer. God has given people the freedom of choice since the beginning because He isn't a dictator. He lets people choose to live either good or evil lives. Since people have be following the wrong path, we and our world suffer. Because He opened the door to heaven by sacrificing Himself, those who believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. He didn't say we would be prosperous in life, but that we would suffer if we live as His followers. But during those times of tribulation, He is with us, giving us hope and strength to stand strong in truth. I do hope my answer gives you some insights that help you with your question. @@SawSimon-zi2zt Jesus didnt have to die on a cross to save us from our sins. We could just confess sins, repent and be accepted in Heaven if Jesus died in bed from old age. By change the world, I meant as you said teaching us to love each other, spread kindness, ect... You'd think if he accomplished that the whole world would be kind and loving, its been a very long time. But the world is just as cold and cruel as its always been. Like you said people follow a different path so we and the world suffers, even now. Nothings changed, that was my point. Sure he can give us hope and strength and whatever, but its not like you cant draw that from yourself or others also. Its not like if there is no God then its completely impossible to draw hope and strength at all. Thats not really a change. You can draw strength in family, fiends, even other strangers, religious beliefs are just another one.
