I am surprised no one asked the Coach about Illinois’ late sub/ slow sub that caused the Ducks to call a time out! And then the next time Illinois did that the Duck fake they were going to call a timeout and direct snap to the running back. It didn’t work but it seemed like a great call? Did they have that play all ready to go? Something they saw on film? Another genius call by the coach?
Weird perspective, not a way to get Illinois to another level. Meanwhile Oregon top 5 in wins over the last 30 years in CFB. Back when only the SEC could pay guys. 😂
Tez... He is the modern mix of Oregon's best. He's a bit of our old-school RBs and the future of perfect route-runners for WRS. THE OFFENSE PLAYED THEIR BEST. The defense is quietly becoming better than any other championship- level team. We will win college playoffs, ,(if we do), because of our defense. Good luck, every team we beat. Play to beat the Ducks. FEBU!!!
I was watching this game on CBS. I introduced college football to my two roommates, who lost interest in football watching the NFL ... My roommates are now Duck fans and college football fans. This was a perfect game. Thanks to the team and the coaches.
New TE play is a sign of things to come. Our TE play has always been great. We are becoming Georgia Bulldogs on Defense, and TE... We'd need to beat ourselves to destroy our national title. Great team
@@richparsons3971 You are still on the bandwagon. If normie questions are all you desire that's on you and that's perfectly fine. Just calling a spade a spade.
Illinois players know crowd noise will be a factor, but the Illini have played at Penn State and Nebraska. Both are very loud environments. We’ll see if Oregon fans have an effect. If Illinois can keep close, we may see a tight game. They learned ALOT from the Purdue game. It was a nightmare. Eliminating a lot of penalties will help them. Winning this game would be BIG, but I’m a realist and know Oregon is a well coached team. I L L 🏈🏈
As an Oregon fan we’re not sleeping on you guys at all I just hope our players feel the same way and translate that. This will be a fun game to see I think Illinois program has been very impressive the past 2 years! Best of luck🦆
Yes I’m sure Nebraska was loud when Indiana gave them a 56-7 beat down . Those stadiums are not even close to Autzen. I now have been in 2 big 10 stadiums . Michigan state and Purdue . These stadiums show the decibels being produced . This last game at Purdue was actually whopping 55 decibels. And Michigan State was close to 70 decibels where we had Vernon Adam’s and lost that game on the last play. Illinois is good but not going to beat the Ducks at home. And I will bet it will be a 3 TD advantage Ducks.
Illini and Oregon fan here crazy to see both teams play each other. as an Illini bias fan I have no expectations of them winning just want to keep it close also coach Lanning is a hell of a coach! Autzen is every teams literal hell ILL🧡💙
As a Oregon fan it’s quite impressive what Illinois program has done the past couple years the future is bright for you guys! It’s gonna be a fun game and best of luck to u guys🦆👌🏻
OSU Knew their first TD was a gift. Why do you think they ran back to the line to snap the ball? Chip Kelly knew it was an interception. He was yelling into his QB's head set to run the next play. I still am baffled why that play wasn't reviewed.
Joey Harrington came into my work a few years ago (the off-season when Lanning was hired) and I asked him if he thought Lanning had the sauce. He was pretty adamant that Lanning wasn't just the right hire, but that he was the guy to take us to the next level. Looks like his intuition was correct. Imagine that...
Joey was one of the guys that wrote a letter to the university begging them to hire Wilcox. I believe your story, but I will say Joey was completely wrong with his initial thoughts on the hire. Dan Lanning seems to be the one we have been looking for.
