These videos are useful, but you might want to do them with small loadout, medium loadout and Max loadout. Many times people show these bags and videos completely stuff to the gills. A lot of us don't stuff our bags that full I want to see how it will look if it's not fully packed up
Also, 9 months ago I posted a CAP 1 giveaway for when I hit 500 subscribers. It's been sitting in a shipping box ready to go for 9 months 🥲. Let's get to 500! Giveaway vidoe 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IG7lzJsoAXk.htmlsi=Cc6Du0yRfvbFwOb8
Just trying to fill the void that bigger RU-vidrs fail to include in their videos which are try-ons to get an idea of how the pack looks on body! For reference I'm 5'9 150lbs and the bag is minimally packed with just a CAP 1, 13'' macbook bro, notedbook, and other smaller loose odds and ends. A simple, concise video? In this economy? No scrubbing through a 23 minute review hoping to find one 10 second clip of 2 bags actually next to each other? Thank you!
THANK YOU! This is exactly the purpose of this video! Bigger channels seem to forget that this is a backpack for goodness sake, let’s see it being worn! Appreciate the support! 🙏
I was going to ask the same question but then I realized I'm sure many others have.. I pre-ordered the CPL 16 but I'm torn The only reason why I would get the 20 is because of the water bottle pocket but I really don't need it and that thing is so wide it's very odd it's extremely short and fat and I don't like that look The CPL 16 looks so sleek
@@thegoldenstateconsumerThe 20 ended up being a tight fit for my daily load out of 15 inch laptop, headphones, ipad mini, steam deck and CAP 2L. 26L becomes my daily carry with the 20L becoming a quick grab bag for coffee runs and the like
I actually only had a cap 1, laptop, notebook and some small loose ends in the bag. So it’s minimally loaded. I just posted the ctb 20 vs cpl 16 video!
Good thing rain covers for bags exist, and are widely available. Still a nice bag, especially at a discount price. Right now you can get one for $200 CAD on sale.
Personally i prefer the CTB26 than the CTB35 as its more carry on friendly due to the limited carry on allowance of only 7kgs in the airlines i normally fly with. On top of that, its easier to put the bag either under the seat or right in front of me if the overhead cabin is full, which can happen when the plane is almost at full capacity. Besides that, when comparing the CTB26 with the CTB35 side by side, the CTB35 looks bulkier and heavier, so it's a no go for me.
🤦♂I'm personally avoiding bellroy backpacks at all costs, no matter how nice they look. Their slings seems to be great, their light sling is my only sling since it keeps a low profile even when fully packed. But their straps/harness system on all of their backpacks are extremely poor. I hope they plan on improving them!
Absolutely! Can fit in most planes under the seat in front of you. The pocket layouts are perfect to use as a personal item under the seat in front of you.
thanks for doing this! out of curiosity did you wipe off the bags before opening the zips? wondering if any of the wetness is from water coming in after the zips were open vs actual seepage.
Hey thanks for watching! I did not wipe before opening but the seepage on the MPL22 was definitly through the material, I could feel it with my hand from inside the top front pocket. The zipper seepage on the quick access pocket on the GORUCK bullet seemed to be actual seepage as the phone sized cardboard cutout caught more water than a drop from opening the zipper would. I hope this helps!
@Duanewrites it should do much better than both bags! How are you liking the ecopack material? I tried trakke’s ecopack and was not a fan so I never considered the eco pack MPL 22.
@@thegoldenstateconsumer I liked the ecopack more than VX-42 of whatever is on the Alpha One Niner Whitley. The ecopack is thick and doesn't feel crinkly. I eneded up returning it becuase it felt a little small and I needed something that was more EDC friendly. At $280, I have other options.
@Brian_Lau same! I like the look and enjoy the thoughtful layout and size of the bag but the straps are (always) its weakest point. Also has a twisting issue (vid on my channel). If only bellroy but more effort into quality straps they’d have amazing bags!
@@Brian_Lau If strap comfort is your main priority, goruck, mystery ranch, everygoods, AER are so good although have subjective styling. I heard tom bihn has great straps but it's currently not my style of bag. Right now I'm using the Evergoods MPL 22 for edc and man this thing is GREAT! It's less than 2 pounds so its super light, has external water bottle pockets (which all of my goruck packs don't have) and has juuust the right amount of organization. I have a goruck gr1 heritage slate coming in that I'm excited to use, it looks beautiful in pics. The goruck M23 robic has AMAZING straps and is under 3 pounds so its a great carry and can expand via cinch top for those "just in case" moments which is right up my alley when traveling. Those are my top two bags right now for edc/travel. What are you currently using??
Love how this bag looks until he started to pack it out... sigh, cant fin a bag to beat the axiom for edc. i would deff use this cpl as a co-travel piece, though.
My current Favourite bag is the Mystery Ranch x Carryology Unicorn 2.0. It looks amazing for daily edc. It would suit very well with the CAP1 in it. Have a nice day and Happy 2024!
Hey thanks so much for watching! The cap1 is a much better for the unicorn 2.0 than the cap2 that I tried to use with it. I really liked the U2.0 but just couldn't get it to fit everything I carry. Beautiful bag though! Happy 2024!!
Hi thanks for watching! there's definitely a different level of sheen between the two; the CTB 26 uses 420d High Tenacity Nylon 6 the CHZ 26 uses 840d ballistic nylon 6 I don't know the science between the two but it explains the level of sheen between them 😅
ho you like xpac vs the canvas? My issue with the regular version is that the material wants to poof and it always looked like i was traveling even while edcing..... does the canvas stay thinner and more compressed in use? ori s it just the design itself?
Hey thanks for watching! I absolutely love the griffin collection. How are you liking the td35? I've been tempted to get one but I'm not very much a duffle person.
In my experience the canvas stays more compressed with my light edc loadout. I can't comment on the regular or xpac versions though as I've never had them.
