Great video, thanks for letting us know. I've got a stupid question, can you ride these tracks all year round if you don't mind getting wet and muddy? Or do they only open for the summer months?
@@3359daniel thank you! A lot of them are wether dependant, some won’t run if it’s not rideable so I would say best to keep on social media, Facebook/ instagram as that’s normally how the tracks let’s people know
Always good to catch up with ya all, sick days riding as always with ya 🙌🏻 For anyone out there who wants to ride on the hires with the best group of lads you find just drop a message lee will hook you up 👊🏻
Its good to practice but racing is where you'll improve more, I went to a week long course (1986)with Roger Harvey I think he's at Honda now and Tim Mathews in Worcester with Kawasaki when I was 11, when i was12 I went to a Heron Suzuki training camp at a track in Chipenham, Cambridge. But not wildtracks there used to be another track the other side of Chippenham, as well as another track at the wildtracks location.
Sand always best if your learning as soft landing, used to love sand tracks, from what I'm watching and reading I was lucky to have learned to race before 4 strokes came in, 85, Kx80, 86 Kx80, 87 Rm80, 88 Kx100 ,89 kx100 , 90 Kx100 and lastly a 91 Rm125. I've had a look and think I'm gonna go do a KTM Motocross day at Fat Cats. The 1990 Kx100 I used for the Acu Nationals, top 40 in country, it had white power suspension, ohlins forks, kehien carb, slecten exhaust, rebored too, I wanted to race it versus 125s in the seniors class it was that fast, probably spent about 2k on it after buying. I was meant to race at Valkswaard in Holland but I broke my collar bone at Chippenham, Cambs. After I gave up I totally ignored mx/sx tbh formy own sanity lol
Enjoyed the video, I see that track is quite far up the north of England. I’m closer to Flackwell Heath.. must’ve taken a fair bit of time to get up there if you’re driving from the south.
Shame about the bike, but these things happen! Bet it gets noisy in that shed when your hammering it, specially with more than one bike on the track haha
@@Bovrinox good man, I’ve visited majority of tracks that offer private hires in south of the UK but let me know if I’ve missed any that you have been too
@@leeray19 I've just moved south from Cumbria, I'm missing all that free access to greenlaning! looking to find somewhere to get off-road again when I can bring my xr down, turns out there's an MX track about 5 mins from where I am now! Called Greensands, looks small but its handy and I've never ridden an mx track before, so might be fun haha
@@leeray19 as an older rider I am really torn between the 350 and 250, I want a nice easy ride with the power there when I want it? Not going to race just practice tracks. What are your thoughts?
Awesome looking track, wanted to ride here for ages, feeling lucky now to be riding this coming weekend which I think is the last opportunity, we're on a private for the Saturday and I think the last practice is the Sunday. Such a shame to see an amazing track like this be lost 😢
@@leeray19 thanks man would have rather sat with you with english people than dutch people i'm with my brother we're not as good as you probably but we're enjoying it to the fullest but it's so hot. we are on vacation not to meet any Dutch people but yes so be it
@@studay1007 i used to have a ktm 350 and having put 20 hours on the 250 dont regret it at all. More than enough power and more fun in my opinion so i would 100% recommend a 250.
