After 15 years of fighting the RU-vid algorithm, it is time to start fresh! A new channel dedicated to one thing, learning and playing the Seagull Merlin and a variety of Ukuleles and other fun instruments! Copyright claims be damned! Let's have some fun and make some music!

Hi sir, As a ukulele player and now a seagull merlin player, great Canadian Product, I am so happy to stumble on your channel. Finally somebody who teaches the Merlin with tutorials the good way. Been seeing all your previous Merlin tutorials, love them. I stumbled in the 100+song chord tutorials and hoping one day you can make a full tutorials on some of those songs. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Best wishes, my friend! I love my Merlin, and will be watching for your new content. One of my favorite bands through the years has been STYX. I'd love to hear and learn one of your covers of them if you have one. What's your opinion of adding another fret in the middle of the 2nd to add C? I'm so tempted to try it, but don't want to compromise my Merlin. Stay vigilANT, Sir.

Styx is a fantastic band and I will make a point of finding some that works on Merlin! I too have toyed with the concept of the added fret, though I was considering gluing on in as opposed to drillining and mounting that way. I am definitely going to research it further, but even with the extra fret, that elusive C is still quite a finger stretch!! For now, lets find sokme Styx!! Thanks a million for your ongoing support!!

Where will you move to? I moved to China 3 years ago. I regret not bringing my Merlin. I was able to buy another here, but I only had the option of the mahogany, it was a bit high in price, and it doesn't have the same sound as my spruce. Buying new guitars and ukes is no problem, but I do miss my Merlin at home. Could probably have one bought and shipped from abroad, but then might as well just bring yours or ship it from the get go.

@@dotnhon22 I will first be based in Shenzhen, just for the first year while we look for a home, preferably in a smaller town. My Chinese is still good enough I don't need to be near a major center to get by. In fact, I generally prefer the more "local" hoods. I know it's tough right now, but I am sure it will open up again as the world get's it's poop in a scoop and borders all re-open. Probably another year away I suspect. It's amazing how quickly Ukes caught on in China. In 2004 I was the ONLY one and nobody had seen a Hawaii Guitar before. Then a did a few TV interviews and even had one of my more popular videos showing on subways, busses and taxi screens for a year! A couple years later, Ukes as far as the eye can see! And real beauties too!! We will be traveling a lot in CHina on our return, so I will make a point to hit up SHanghai this time! We can show that town what Merlins are all about!!
