i have a cobrasport cat back on my civic and it sounds similar, if anything it's a bit louder through the midrange so the changeover doesn't sound as BAAHHHHH as this.

it took forever to reach red line.. was this done on 5th gear? First mod for my type r was the spoon N1 ... but i settled for mugen twinloop

The Spoon N1 is incredible, got one in my DC2 as well. They sound heavenly if you want that raspy B engine sound.
