oh you’re spot on about everything you said about them My first one was a girl but she passed so I have two male’s I honestly prefer girl because they’re more quieter but don’t get me wrong. I love my boys. they mean the world to me and I would never have any other dog.

Thank you for this video. I just acquired a dachshund, a stray I took in from the streets. No tags, no chip. I've always loved dogs, and always thought dachshunds were cute, but never considered owning one. I only got this one as an act of mercy, really, but within a few days I had gained enormous respect for the breed. Smart, affectionate, and he bonded with me immediately. Charlie barks when he's outside and sees strangers or animals, but he never barks indoors. He learned his new name "Charlie" within 3 days and follows me everywhere. I'm now a dachshund loyalist.
I have a wired hair dachshund ( Cappie ), he's about the most laid-back dogo I have ever had Mostly, he just likes to lazy around in my study room . My husband wanted a jack russell (Phryne), so we got one she's a spit fire . So I have one laid-back fur baby and one hyped up fur baby makes for a lively house. She pounces on her brother all the time , and he just rolls over and lets her "attack" him . Then, he gets up, and they do doggy zoomies around the house , they are fun to watch . Love them both !! They keep us moving ! We're 65 yrs young !
Had my first ever Dachshund now for a few months from a pup and he’s the most loving dog I’ve ever owned. He adores my small grandsons too and loves his terrier and golden retriever ‘siblings’ he’s just such a sweet boy and as of yet he doesn’t bark, although he and my terrier do when playing. I can’t let Jess the GR play with him bc she likes tug with the terrier and Harry isn’t allowed to play tug. On the whole they are adorable little dogs. ❤️
Why do I feel like Pet Head products are the most underrated thing out there?? I’m in love with them and struggle finding it in pet stores. Have to catch it on Amazon (if they have it) and the only other option other than Amazon is somewhere overseas (I’m in the States) and it’s extremely outrageous. I almost want to do a deep dive on Pet Head and find out more about them. Are the based in England or something? Aside from that, I LOVE the peach scent that’s a 2in1 shampoo and conditioner. They also have a dry shampoo with no rinse that is peach too I like to use during brushes in between baths. I’ve used for years now their Dogs BFF Strawberry Yogurt Tangle fix (I have a miniature schnauzer named Brynlee. She’s my baby. When it came to the paw butter I had to teach Brynlee quick not to lick it off. I’m sure they know dogs will lick and as long as they don’t consume a lot it should be fine, but it’s definitely something to start at puppy stage and teach. I’ve never saw the wipes. If they smell like alcohol/medicine that’s not good. Makes me want to look into them. I’ve used Glandex to clean up potty accidents and I use them for the paws too. 🤷🏽♂️ Why not? Enjoyed your review. Feel like I’m a lone stranger when I start ranting about their products to friends. I legit would love working for them and promoting their products.
Great description.. I always owned big dogs until I got my very first doxie for Mother’s Day in 2015...when I got a precious little piebald male. He is truly my best friend. He snuggles..he stays by my side...licks my tears off my face when I cry...and simply gives me unconditional love. I can’t imagine life without a precious doxie now.
you don't NEED those. Like you don't NEED a dog. You choose to bring dogs in your home because you are a dognut. No other species wants to pick up another species poop. Only the dognuts species. 🤣🤣 I said it.
Have a neighbor with a dachshund two houses down, who barks left on the patio for hours at a time, about 5-11pm….Tried Petsonik, made no difference even 12 feet from him with the neighbors permission, right next door. They actually cried when I asked if it was ok to put it up in their back yard, pointed right at him. Still looking for ideas, thanks.
I may be in the wrong place. I need something to stop neighbors yapping dogs. Too many people are irresponsible with their pets and may wonder why you don't like them barking. So I'm looking for a device to stop the neighbors dogs from barking. I don't care if it hurts them. Don't get me wrong, I like well mannered dogs but the yappers are anything but.
I can't wait until I get my boy it's still a while yet but its happening and I've super excited. Just using this time to research and prep for when I get my dachshund puppy!
