Very beautiful! I like the fact that although you didn't purchase enough bias tape, you made facings for the bottom of the corset. That is a wonderful idea, and it also closes off the bottoms of the corset boning channels - which adds extra support, stability, and durability to the corset. I love that you did this and that you show how you achieved this. Brilliant!♡
YOU are so AMAZING! This is the most Exquisite, Detailed, Informative, Educational, Awe-inspiring video that the Majority are of us in the Sewing World have EVER SEEN!! ♡♡♡ This Corset is absolutely Stunning, Gorgeously, Beautifully Hand crafted! yes it's a lot of work to do things this way but in 15 years when you replace the lining and basically have a brand new garment it makes sense why you would put in the hours
i wish u would still make videos, i would watch every single one! this is such an amazing channel and shows fashion history in a non western perspective, so cool ❤
What do you call the top part of the skirt that looks like a beautifully scrunched up petal? I wanted to make an everyday skirt with that style, and I would like to find a pattern, but it's hard because I don't know what it's called.
No no no no no...9:20 that needs some more explanation on how you pined that in I have been trying to figure it out for 20min. The instructions that come with it are almost useless and while the rest of your video is Great putting the bottom on REALLY needs so more explanation
Thank you for this! I bought the PDF off Bootstrap a while ago but haven't gotten around to actually making it. I'm inspired to do it now, yours looks great ❤
Just subscribed and your work is so skilled and patient and beautiful! I can’t imagine this is going to be expensive just see how much time and labors you put in!
This was such a lovely video and very relaxing to watch, you have a great voice and energy!! I've subscribed and look forward to watching all your other videos! <3
I decided to use an awl instead of scissors to mark the lines it works wonders and doesn't hurt my plastic ruler (does have an issue with my desk/sewing machine table, so I added a cloth underneath)
as with a person with a mini sewing machine and good at hand sewing should i try making a Victorian bustle gown?? I might have a problem making the corset as i never ever made one
If you ever used a $50 foam dress form you’ll know that it’s too light for draping 😅 if you’re a fashion student get an actual dress form with hard shell
Claire, I can’t possibly convey what a superb video you’ve produced. The music, the camera work, your overdub are precise and so well done. That your craftsmanship is stunning goes without saying. It’s an inspiration to see you work!
