Question about your motor I was told that Yamaha does not do there 150 Yamaha in tiller steer model they told me it only gos up to 115 hp but I’m seeing 250hp with tillers on them I just picked up a 150 last month been trying to get someone to hook up my tiller handle all the motors are the same from a 40 hp all the way up to a 250 I don’t see the problem with Yamaha putting tiller handles on there 150s…. I can’t stand steering wheels an controls….I rather sit in back of the boat an steer it by the motor like a real fisherman is suppose to do…I hope you have an answer for me I all ready have the engine

Hello John I know this video is a few years old, but it is a nice boat. I am looking to get one myself hopefully soon. I have a few question for you, on the scuppers, do they drain the boat at the dock, do you have a flapper or ping pong ball, and are the below the water line at rest. I sure you would recommend the boat any advice would be appreciated....tight lines
Thank for the reply, as I mentioned I trying to figure out what I want on the 27. I like merc and would be interested on the performance of those 225. I live in calif and will mostly use the boat in the salt, but I do take vac to the mountains at a lake that is 6000ft. I feel pretty good on the V6 and twins up there. May have to prop down but that’s ok... thanks again John for your response and keep those fishing videos coming, I enjoy them greatly...
Tuna in oil? Fish live in water, smell in water! Oil does not mix with water. Why not just chunk up real bait and fill it,,, shrimp, harring, salmon eggs, tuna belly itself, much better than oil.
Paint schemes or patterns are to catch fishermen in stores. I’ve seen wiggle warts so teeth scratched they nolonger were red. Orange. Pink. Yet still worked very well while being completely white! Let that sink in. Seriously ponder that. Colors catch fishermen.
The have been great motors for me, best fuel economy I have ever gotten from a outboard and it’s nice not having to pull the boat every 100 hours to change the oil. I’m very pleased with them
