Howdy! The Texas A&M University Writing Center is located on the 2nd Floor of Evans Library and on the 2nd Floor of the West Campus Library. We provide writing and public speaking assistance to undergraduate and graduate students. Students can schedule a 45-minute appointment with one of our trained consultants and get help with ideas, organization, grammar, or any other issues. Students can also submit their paper or presentation online. Our website has resources such as handouts, videos, and audio broadcasts on a variety of writing and public speaking topics. We also provide writing workshops to undergraduate classes, graduate students, international students, and campus groups.
The idea about the excel spreadsheet to stay organized with authors and quotes is worth a gazillion dollars … you know ! The cost of our college tuition 😜
Seems like logos is the only morally sound choice. Trying to convince someone with anything but the truth is deceptive. Ethos and pathos are the main ones used in politics and such because they like deception. They don't have to contend with any of that pesky truth stuff, it's just about steering mindsets. I hate that shit.
-ethos(using a well known and trusted person/celebrity to advertise, making it easier to convince the audience. Example: *Nicki Minaj in a makeup brand advertisement* *Nicky fans on their way to buy every single product from the makeup brand*) -pathos(making the advertising emotional to convince audience. Example: “Cute little puppies are dying in the pet shelter! They need a family. Come buy them from us!” Causes the audience to be sympathetic for the dogs, then they go and buy some). -logos(using logic and proved evidence to convince audience. Example: “Based on statistics, our toothpastes completely whitens 19/20 of our buyers” this attracts people with yellow teeth) You’re welcome
