Fascinating video - I love comfortable, stylish, high waisted trousers with a proper drape - brace buttons obligatory. Can I find them? Only with huge difficulty, and certainly not in dinner suits. Not that I go out to dinner very often, but - just now and then, I'd like to dress for dinner again - not white tie, I've never worn white tie: no opportunity or occasion to; but a wool dinner suit would be a treat; I had one but grew out of it; still have a cummerbund and selection of black ties..... Oh invite me to dinner, someone! Then I'll search out a real dinner suit.
I visited the store in Sheffield this year and it was lovely. The vest specifically lured me into the store! I love them so much and hope I can buy one of them one day 💗

I love a good trench coat. I've have several that I've worn through the years. They have always caught my eye. Just wish that it didn't have bad connotations connected with it.
The year is 2047. No one can even remember what a trenchcoat is, let alone wears one. Most guys from the age of 40 and over wear only hoodies that say “BLM” or “stop climate change”.

Original Montgomery duffel coats are also top quality Englisg made icons. 👌 Original Montgomery made these for the Royal Navy at the start of WW1 and Field Marshall Bernard Mongomery wore one of their garments in WW2. I agree that Gloverel are up there with Original Montgomery in terms of quality. A decent English made duffel coat will set you back about £450 in 2024.
Yes, my head is about 60 - 61 cm. And i have seen many top hats but none that fits. But i have put an auction on one top hat on the internet size 60 that was good quality and vintage and not so expensive.
I bought a Stetson flat cap today. £80. I’m pretty sure it has plastic at the front. I feel robbed now. I want leather as you said, it’s traditional and the best. I think hats might actually be something I end up collecting. As I was looking in to them, the variety of flat caps are unreal. Colours, styles, fabrics, etc. I found a flat cap that had been made from an old espresso coffee sack. Some are a middle ground between a baseball cap and more traditional flat caps. Really facinating pieces.

I have a duffle but the sleeve armholes are a bit tight for proper use over much other garments. And I don't live in a place where it typically snows or even rains.
I think more people get pea coats instead of duffle or car coats these days, and that's probably mostly a price and availability factor. Nobody hardly uses the term "car coat" or could really tell the difference, likely. So it goes.
