Every time, these days, I read people saying a movie is "actually pretty good", the movie turns out to have plot holes the size of highway tunnels, bad acting, lame lighting, bland characters, overly predictable scripts. This seems like one of those. Young people might be impressed, because they have seen very few films and don't have critical thinking. I haven't seen a truly impressive film for 20 years, and the best ones are about average compared to films of 1900-2004.
The movie is already stupid, first off how the hell do you ambush a vampire? They can hear your heart beating. Second they totally blew the element of surprise but somehow still subdued her despite the premise of the movie being oops we kidnapped a vampire, we’re all gonna die? Dumb.
