Thank you for the video! I have a 69 Mesa II and with the help of your earlier video was able to get it cranked up for the first time. Your explanation of how the chain works was just what I was looking for as I noticed that I have a break in my chain. You mentioned that the chain is like a bike chain. Will a few links of a bike chain work with repairing my chain or is the chain unique to the 69 Mesa? Also appreciate the tip on the Facebook group and literature!

I appreciate the insight on the 69 Apache Mesa's. Did the screen door come with Mesa's 1,2, and 3? Curious where the screen door is stored in the camper? Thanks

As far as I know, they all came with a screen door. My camper, a 1969 Mesa III, has one that will swing up from the bottom and is held against the bottom of the roof with a clip.

Great video. I second the recommendation on Bear Creek Canvas. We had a 1994 Starcraft and replaced the canvas about 5 years ago. Top Quality and turnaround time.

Thank you for the video! It was very helpful with getting my 69 Mesa 2 open for the first time. You mentioned you put on new seals on yours to keep the water out. Where did you find the replacement seal? Also do you have any suggestions for replacing the canvas? Thanks!

The original seal around the edge on mine was petrified and breaking apart. For the gasket seal, you want the website Apache Replacement Parts LLC, and the part you are looking for is "Roof Seal" (SKU 42-90-789). You order by the foot: for the "quantity," you will put in the amount of feet you need. Installation was fairly easy, you just cut the roll to fit each side and press it into the channel. For the canvas, most people recommend Bear Creek-it was where I got mine.
