To all the Russ haters or those who claim he is washed, take a look at The Clippers +/- net rating with a full team(well not exactly full because T Mann was out with i think an ankle injury) to start the 2023/2024 season. The starting unit of: Zubac, Covington, Leonard, George, and Westbrook was +37 through four games before the roster was depleted in the Harden trade..... That's an avg of +9 per game. That's pretty elite. I know from yesterday's presser that Coach Malone is pretty set on having one of the younger shooting guards start next to his veteran quartet of Jokic, Gordon, MPJ, and Murray, so let's see how things work out but i would start Russ and try to bury opposing starting units and play even with reserves. I'm not as obsessed with spacing as some nba fans, in fact i believe spacing to be quite over-rated, plus i would want the ball in the hands of the triple double kings, because they are going to lift the scoring of the "others" So Russ feeding Jokic in the post to get him 8-10 easier pts per game(and shooting less three's per game) and Russ breaking down defenses and getting the ball to the perimeter so Murray or MPJ gets more wide open 3 opportunities. I'm exciting for Nuggets fans! Whether starting or coming off the bench, ya'll are going to love having Russ on your squad!! Wait until those home games...😊 He gets the crowd going!!

This is one of the main reasons i see The Nuggets eventually moving Murray to shooting guard and inserting Russ as the starting point guard. To me everything should be about making the game "easier" for the Jokic/Murray duo, not harder. I understand wanting to start the season with one of the young shooting guards as a starter but in my view this will make Jokic and Murray's job a bit harder. What would make their jobs easier is adding a play maker to the starting unit to do exactly what you laid out. Get Jokic more touches in the paint as a scorer, get Murray more open shots from deep, same with MPJ, and another play maker to feed AG.... I think you will eventually see Russ as their starting point guard as i just don't see the offensive production coming from the two youngsters that the team will need. I'm rooting for Braun though. I really love watching him play the game. I like tough rugged players that run the floor and do a little bit of everything out there. I can see why the organization likes him.
@@sammyslam1Murray's a PG not a shooting guard, and the defense would be compromised. Jokic and CB have the best on/off record % for a reason. He doesn't make Jokic's game more difficult. Complete opposite

After 75% field goal percentage in 1st half, Serbia shot 5 o7% im the 4th... Not the refs pushed Davis against Curry while attempting a 3. Joker did that... he is no rookie. Not the refs stepped repeatedly on the court and discussed it with the regs. Coach Pesic was it. Everything fitted in pretty well. And the USA team knew it would never be a Serbian final... So they didn't get nervous trailing by -17 !!!! In an Olympic semifinal ????? Not because of their believe in themselves... simply because of hidden mutual talks. Serbia is no market, Germany, France... are... Bitter to watch s team that "acted like blowing out so called "best Dream Team of the universe" ... lose that dirty, shameful way. Politicians and managers decide the fates of beautiful Serbian basketballers.
It took full stacked team of superstars and talent, one of the best coaching stuff ever, Cameroon center.. It took one of the best shooting performances by the best shooter ever, triple double by widley considered GOAT, clutch performance by one of the most prolific scorers and players, plus many others like DBook important role, and on top of that push by the refs in the most important moments of the game... All of that to beat Serbia.. This loss hurts so bad, and I'll probably never get over this, but I'm so proud of our boys and my country... I'm so proud of our players, fans, history and tradition, love that we have for this game... I'm so proud of our unique team ball approach and understanding of the game, and we proved why we are the land of basketball and that USA is not alone on the throne of basketball... Congrats to the Team USA. Thank you Denver for recognizing and respecting team Serbia. That’s essentially what sports suppose to do is bring people together, not devide. We all have a love for the game in common and we may not agree on everything but we should celebrate things that bring us together and build on that.

DNVR is actually worse than swipa since they bailed in December 2022 and said the Nuggets couldn't later that same season win a title without major changes to the roster and coaching staff.
Swipa must be living in Serbia...lol. Embiid's defense was important in the game as well. When he was not in the game, Serbia was driving to the basket and killing US. KD & Embiid should get props for saving that win as well as Lebron & Curry...
It's pathetic that a nation with over 300 million people has to give a passport to a Cameroonian who then has to save them in the final quarter of a game. There are a total of about 10-12 million Serbs in the whole world. Serbia has around 7.5-8 million people and not a single foreign national on the team.
Let's not lie, if the judging was fair, Serbia would have deservedly won. The competition is under FIBA, there are some rules that the referee ignored in favor of the "dream team".
Sports is rigged in general. As a Serbian we know what western privilege in sports is, same as in all other areas of life really. Shamefully stacked USA superteam needed refs. I can count at least 10 points that were gifted to them by phantom calls and that is enough to change momentum resulting in even more points. The worst is that they are celebrating it when they should lower their heads and be humbled in this 'victory'

Can someone explain me the rule where KD is shooting 3 an d before that Jokic commits foul on AD and US get that 3 points counted and ball again in their possession? We had that in the first half where Jokic scores and Micic was fouled and US gets just a 1 foul on Embid I think and ball was theirs. WTF??? That 6 point play took them back and that was the point of their returning. Not to mention uncalled travellings, technical fouls for jumping from the bench, entering the court during the game, constantly talking to the referees.
