Oh I love her. So sweet! I have a doll from when I was a toddler and my mum’s doll. Both in need of fixing and restoration. I don’t even know if it’s possible.
There are people out there with amazing skills. Much better at it than me! I've just watched an amazing doll restoration on Irene's Restorations. Thanks for commenting. I don't get many.
When I was a kid, I studied to be a Stone Mason in Britanny, France. Something so special about stone work and these building. This video showed up on my RU-vid and here I am. hahahaha It takes a Master Stone Mason one to two years per stone to make those arches. They were seaking thin high walls to let light through the stain glass. Buttress Aches allowed them to do it. I think they are 11 major churches in France with the same style. Reiss, Notredame, Notre dame d'Amien, Saint Denis etc... In Cologne, the ceilings are really starting to crack, the Germans are still restoring it after the war. I use to live beside Notre Dame when I was a child in an Area called Saint Michelle, Paris. Some great memories. Thanks for the video, The constrution on these buildings lasted 60-100 years or longer. People gave dearly for them too. Whole Forest were cut down and instead of feeding the people, the Church built them. Many people died building them too. Have a great day.
Really interesting! York Minster is currently being refurbished outside, and you can actually watch the stone masons at work creating roses and leaves out of square blocks of stone using hammers and chisels.
