You were lucky. Buying coins online with somebody new could have gone bad, especially when you’re talking about 8 grand! I will say, though, I’m not sending $8k worth of coins to anyone hoping they pay up after they receive them. If you buy them from a reputable online dealer or auction house, you pay before they ship. I’m happy that it all turned out good for you.
I’m in a very large group of dealers and it’s customary to receive payment after delivery unless it’s bullion. I think it’s a way of making sure the other party delivers it quickly and efficiently. But yes the other party sending that much without money is definitely hard!
AU50 looks reasonable for that coin. I kept with NGC slabs for the most part, but there is always a coin that you are after in another grading service. I hold out and have gotten exactly what I was after so the wait was worth it. Nice coins you have there!!!!!
I appreciate your enthusiasm for coins. It’s great to see. A tiny bit of constructive criticism, say “guys” a touch less. If it were a drinking game I’d be dead by alcohol poisoning!
Nah big dog. Not a weak point at all. You’re actually a very good speaker. There’s just verbal “crutches” we all have to some degree when addressing an audience. Kinda like the way people will say “ummmmm” or “ahhhhh” repeatedly. Another one which is often done by females is saying “you know” over and over again. No worries. You’re doing just fine. And btw, some great coins!
Man the sales pitches are all the same look at these under graded FRESH coins please a fresh coin is only one that was recently minted now I guess they are saying fresh to grading but all these coins were minted years and years ago and been sitting somewhere so they can be to fresh maybe fresh to getting graded and how are you going get some those coins into plus grades cracking out and sending back into pcgs watch out because that game can go backwards to
I love the thoughts you put into your comments, shows you watched a decent amount of the video. Fresh is exactly what you said, fresh to being graded. And oh yeah the + game is hit or miss all the time. I’ve had 2 point upgrades & downgrades. Also no sales pitch here, just sharing my journey as a coin dealer. Buying something or not, everyone is welcome to watch & comment!
@@ColtonCMerrill don’t get me wrong I love + graded coins I have almost completed the buffalo nickel set and have quite few ms66+ coins the reason being ms67 coins are little out my range but the 66+ is perfect and I want the highest grades I can get you are doing a good job keep it up yes I watch every second but when I comment it’s because not just your doing it but other coin show people to a lot of the speech is repeated over and over ok
Just love how every coin he shows he thinks is a grade or two higher then the professional graders gave them got a long way to go in the grading department or being honest with your coins
@@ColtonCMerrill I agree a lot coins are under graded but there is got to be more over then under and you will get the grading down I am 48 but only been grading looking at coins for 13 years so you will get it
@@ColtonCMerrill why would anyone want a 49 s in ms64 vs ms64 fbl that makes zero sense and the 53 s in fbl is the king of Franklin half’s try to find one good luck
wow great sub for the franklin (my favorite coin currently making a registry set) always look at the back of the ear for a superior high spot on his hair and lines on the top of the head, hairlines. The strike is wjhat makes it a fbl not just the lines on the bell itself. great job man i always enjoy keeping up with you thanks
Fabulous pieces! Great to see a young guy that’s into coins. Trying to get my kids into coin collecting. Much luck building your channel and your business. New sub. 🤙🏼
Wish it was 84 s yea keep dreaming hate when people say stuff like that just show the coins and yes every is a few marks from next grade up that’s why it’s not in that holder
It’s fun to joke about it! That’s the whole point. I already know what’s arrived, it’s just fun to say things like I wish it was worth 25x what it actually is. Glad you enjoyed the video Eric! You’ve been entered to win this weeks coin giveaway
@@ColtonCMerrill cool love the ms66 Morgan’s I think they are a bargain rite now if a guy just put up ms66 and ms67 Morgan’s in 15 years he would have done well
Could have been worse , your whole house could have burnt down and lost your entire collection 😂 so as long as you tell yourself that then you did great 👍 good video
those first few pcgs slabs are fake the color of blue on the paper label is off its a lighter blue and its a solid color instead of being darker blue and trasitioning from blue to white and also it does not have the lil security thingy in the bottom left corners like the last couple that had blue/ white labels and also the hologram on the backs are off, and if im not mistaken the holograms on the back of a few of those ngc slabs look a lil off also
Feel free to check the cert numbers! I am a PCGS authorized dealer & we don’t handle fake slabs, I take this very seriously. They are real slabs but older slabs. They fade and change colors all the time, lots of older slabs don’t have the counterfeit detection parts that the new slabs have. All real slabs :)
