2:38 that button is for the "Auto Hold" function, which holds down the brakes for you when you lift your foot off the brakes while stationary, it has been a feature ever since the mk7 Golf 1st released back in 2012 and was standard, but it wasn't (and still isn't) available for the US market probably due to regulations
Looks nice but to delicate for me. Get a minor scratch, or god forbid, run it through a car wash with brushes, and the paint can be marred. Touch up won't fix it. I passed on a beautiful Genesis GV70 last month because it had matte paint. If I had to have the look, Id get it wrapped instead.
Gauge cluster, adjustable suspension and blue interior accents... only difference between the TS & TR. Personally, glad I got the TR, it's a hard find as is and if it's sunset after just 1 year for the TS, then Subaru just inadvertently created a rarity!
medium take: digital gauges pale in comparison to analog. the gauges in this ts model look like they were ripped out of an early 2000s need for speed game or something, it looks awful imo. there's a good reason bugatti doesn't like digital screens in their cars; screens make them look tacky and will look dated in a few years
Digital gauge custer: Funny thing is that performance car enthusiasts generally prefer the analog gauge cluster. Analog tachometers generally more accurately reflect what RPM your really in while digital clusters tend to have a slight delay. So many of us could be shifting a little slower and not realise it or we can be hitting the rev limiter on accident. Nothing wrong with digital clusters, its mainly the delay thats an issue. Not sure if this one has a delay or not.
Minimum horsepower for an STI back in 2006 should have been about 365 horsepower today it needs to be over 400 to compete with other brands. I owned a 2004 when it first came out in the US and 365 horsepower would have been the perfect amount on our horribly low 91 octane gas here in California, I once found 107 octane gas at a union 76 station in Covina and it just made the Suby come alive like it was meant to be. if we cannot get 100+ octane gas like we used to, then it's pointless to buy these wonderful cars. I will wait for the electric version.
Still only 258ft/lbs of torque and 271hp from a 2.4 liter turbo four. Subaru needs up its game here, not hugely, but another 25hp and 30-40 ft/lbs would make it much more competitive in this segment.
The picture you’re showing looks a lot better than the actual car I saw others review. I don’t like under the headlights how it’s body colored now instead of flat black, but in this photo you’re showing it’s flat black, which looks a lot nicer in my opinion.
Yes, but remember it is just photoshop. While Honda says the Hybrid models get that piece painted body color - they haven't said what the other trims will get. Maybe it's flat black, maybe it's gloss black, heck maybe it's chrome🤷♂️
Maybe in person this color might look nicer. It still looks like a regualr gray. Sonic Gray Pearl has a reallyninteresting color because of the soft powder blue tone to it.
They say the non-hybrid sport will still have black 18" wheels (whether it is a new design or not - I'm not sure). Maybe it's also the new wheel, but black and without the machined finish? If so, the sport hybrid would likely get that as well.
Actually I'd be curious to hear why you say that. To me it's not a negative review at all and it certainly wasn't intended to be. Perhaps I have a unique sense of humor or style - idk. And you're certainly not alone, most of these review videos get down-voted into oblivion lol. I don't think I've reviewed a car recently that I didn't like in fact. The Forester and 4Runner videos were quite negative I agree, but the Forester IS ridiculous considering the huge price increase and lack of new content. Still I wouldn't say I "dislike" it (I'm a Subaru fan BTW). And you might be surprised to hear I actually really like the new 4Runner (overall) but yes there are a lot of little details I found funny and so I complained about them. If you want a 10/10 video, check out my '25 Nissan Kicks review. I was very enthusiastic about it and that video has a perfect vote rating (100% thumbs up). I guess people just want to hear good things about something they already like (echo chamber). Perhaps I should sell my soul and just make videos like that again 🤷♂️
Buddy, you..hu-hu...have...hu-hu...the most irritating..hu-hu..voice...hu-hu...ever. For God's sakes..hu-hu...get some..hu-hu...diction...hu-hu...and speech...hu-hu...lessons.
$85K for the 1958 model in Bayarea California. You got to be kidding me. I would rather buy BMW X5 or Mercedes or Audi Q7. Why buy these with horrible seats and no luxury.
Track pad is horrible ? I may think you own one to say that because the track pad is not that bad at all and is not a deal breaker for me. sure touch screen will be nice. But track pad is not horrible
