Hi Loek and Tanja, We might go to the Las Tuxlas area next month thanks to your inspirational video. Do you remember the airbnbs you stayed at? Thank you! From Jean and Paul (we met you in El Salvador at the waterfalls. (I have edited this comment because I found your full channel.)

You went to Fern Canyon, which should be considered one of the wonders of the world, so you really got to good places again. You know how to find the good spots. Did you get to Trinidad, California? This vid is 2 years old. Since it was made, it appears the USA is about to elect a fascist dictator who gives no concern for NATO. That means the USA is about to become the biggest Schmidt hole on the planet quite soon. Please weep for them.

You really found some great and quite secluded locations. I'll save the vid. 1) Playa Coca 2) Playa Santa Cataina (Santa Catalina???) 3) Isla Iguanas 4) Playa Los Panameas 5) Playa Los Distiladeros 6) Pedasi

If you want to be in the water with whale sharks, and scuba dive, and are not affected by no see ums, Utila is your place. So informal, and you don't need a car. But if you want to shore snorkel, or need a bit of protection from no see ums, and some beautiful beaches, Roatan is better.

Its best to keep it secret, that state is one of the 5 who started it all. Any food known to most people in Mexico started in Puebla, Mexico City, Veracruz, Oaxaca, or Yucatan. My opinion, the best place to Visit in all Mexico.

Hey guys would you consider Roatan and Utila to be safe overall? My sorbets are against me going so I’m trying to find ways to convince them lol
@montanja775
@montanja775 Год назад
Absolutely! Roatan feels a bit like tiny america. Its very touristic and you can get around easily with a taxi. The most annoying moment was when we got off the boat, but even then the locals were still kind and helpfull- they just also wanted us to choose their taxi. Utila is very laid back and you get around on foot or on a golfcart. Its very lowkey and has a more european vibe. If you like hotels more, Roatan is more recommended. If you like hostels more and like to chill and meet with new people, Utila is the way to go! I would say both are safe and locals are kind. Maybe show them the video?

@@truthseekerjeanwilkinson-r1992 Yes we stayed in several Airbnbs :) Theres a lot of places to find! If you visit Atitlan, theres also several villages to consider. We stayed in panachajel, and while this is convenient because all the boats leave there, it is not the most exciting village to stay.

Hi! I was reading that it's about a 3 hour walk from Santa Fe to the town of El Salto, but the trail to the falls is short one there. Did you do that walk or did you get a guide from the town? El Salto and El Bermejo are my favorite. Thanks again for the video
@montanja775
@montanja775 Год назад
El Salto is actually about 11+ waterfalls, and all trails will be done with a guide. When you arrive at the town and start looking for the trail, you'll pass a house. This is where all the trails start and youll only be allowed on the trails with a guide. Depending on what you want to see and do, you pay and start on your adventure! And yes, the walk to El Salto is quite long- but once you're there, theres waterfalls everywhere :)

Jagüatta Waterfall, did you do this as an early hike during the week? Is a guide needed? Thanks for the video, visiting in April
@montanja775
@montanja775 Год назад
We did it during the day, not particularly early. Considering its dry season in april you should be fine the whole day (but chances of rain are always higher in the afternoon, so early in the day is always better). No guide needed! I think we payed for parking our car and they told us how to walk. Have fun!
