I just got this edition. One thing that surprised me (but not an issue) is that the pages are not white (I came back to this video to check). Just FYI.
I've been trying to look for the Brooks but I don't know what Books to buy first I've watch all the extended movies but I want to read them wich ones should I buy?
I came to post some info. If you purchase this omnibus (by Morrison) AND the Tower of Babel Deluxe (by Waid), you'll have all issues 1-46 for this JLA run with exception of 3 issues: 27, 35, 42. Those 3 issues were not authored by Morrison nor Waid, so it makes sense. This full JLA run is supposedly 125 issues, but 1-46 is a great chunk :) That full-color hardcover art under the paper is gorgeous!!
I've loved this book/these books for over 50 years and now rereading after a long break. I think chapter one, dealing with the Party in a fairly light-hearted way feels in many ways like a continuation of the Hobbit. Chapter 2 is where it goes up a gear and becomes much darker and you realise this is a different deal than the Hobbit. Great review thanks.
I did consider getting this, especially as it's on sale right now. However, I'm just not as wowed as I was by my Rune Factory 5 box with the art book, sound track, and steel game case. Love it! I got RF4 Special digitally, so can't speak for any limited or deluxe editions they did of that. All things considered, I think I'm just going to get RF3 Special's standard edition, especially since the game case itself is the same.
I've been binging your videos from your Playlist. I finished your gaming up dates. I didn't know you're a fan of Pete Dorr! That's cool. What I really wanted to say is that I'm currently mainly playing the PS3 and 360 era of gaming these days. Your channel helped me reignite that flame, if you will, and made me want to collect seriously. No more selling my games and no more buying stuff just for the heck of it. I'm going to buy the games I want to play no matter what reviews say. I wanted to also say thank you for creating this channel and sticking with it for so long. This was a book I know I should have DNF’d, but I had fought through this story via both the audiobook and physical book and came out losing regardless of how much I wouldn’t have enjoyed this book. And it’s mainly because of the multiple POVs. I was waiting to actually start liking most of the characters.
I basically got the same ar cards as you but instead of the tiger claw I got the ez cannon I just got the game Amazon during the weekend and I played it for the first time today
These ridiculous -"video reviews"- *advertisements* have inflated the price for this set to an absurd degree. I bet you're proud of your 138k views and all the additional money you have put into Harper Collins' and Rupert Murdoch's pocket as a result!
My intention with this video was simply to share my genuine excitement about these books and their craftsmanship, rather than to drive up prices. It's also helped certain buyers determine if they would picking up or not, as I've received numerous comments regarding that as well. My video did not add additional money towards Harper Collins' and Rupert Murdoch's pockets either, as the regular retailers are still charging the retail price.
@@swires1 North America it's the same price 🤷♂So if anything, this video helped you realize it's not worth the price it's going for, which is the point of why I made it.
I personally never get that affected by gutter lost, I've been reading the Scott Snyders Omnibuses which I heard are some of the worst with this issue and it doesn't bother me at all, and I can still read and enjoy the art. Great video and excited to get this Omni at some point.
After opening a few times I like to get a finger under both sides of the spine and start lifting the book while open on different parts (like bouncing). Eyes get bigger after doing this, I think it makes the glue more flexible.
I started with Manga a year or so ago. I avoided it for the longest time because the Right to Left reading fucked with My Dyslexia. I've gotten better at reading it though.
These editions really are excellent. They really look and feel like something from a bygone era. I remember reading my grandparents' Victorian era books when I was a child. There were illustrated plates in some of them that looked very much like the plates in this edition of The Lord of the Rings. This is a set that would make an excellent family heirloom. P.S.: I do wish that they had separate maps like the illustrated single volume Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion have, but that's only a small nitpick.

True sewn bindings really don’t need to be ‘broken’ in- this must be a hybrid with sewn signatures and glued in because the books don’t want to lay flat
It's made a massive difference. The extra buttons in the back have helped a little, but it's by far the triggers. I'd also even say that the controller overall feels better in my hands.
@@silverkyleeven better go customize your trigger in the lab and make them both 0-1 under the trigger tab. It’ll make everytime you play a fps game like you have QuickDraw. Also tighten up your joysticks with the little tool it comes with. Makes them loose or more tight. Right helps with accuracy, so does the long joystick on the aiming stick. Definitely improved my game
I actually really enjoyed the characters, I kinda like when people hate each other but have to get along. But when Libby killed Nico that did make me sad
@@LovelessHeart100 it’s in book 3 when they do the experiment. It was a kinda an accident. but when they were just starting to see that they are soulmates.
I have just read it, 3 days in total. ❤ I can't say I liked the open ending that much, but still 5 stars. 🎉An unwanted guest hooked me. Too bad I can't get all the hard copies here in Bulgaria.
