My bath water is always roasting hot it never runs out in my house and the hot water is on 24/7 and my heating is on 24/7 it’s never switched off I could run as many baths as I wanted and the water was always roasting hot it was piping hot I grew up with two big brothers and if one of my brothers was gone in for a bath we where all put in for hot baths after each other and the hot water in the bath never went cold it was always scalding hot and after one got out of the bath the next bath got runt it was always really hot but it was banging loved a roasting hot bath there is nothing worse than water going hot and cold when your in the bath or shower but we never once had that problem radiators where roasting hot and the hot water in old buildings and old houses that happens all the time and I know people it happens to that stay in older houses
You don’t show how to keep it working. Mine works only 1 time, then does not. Appears the plastic part stays back and does not re-engage with slide part.

I suggest everyone get a tub with both hot and cold separate handles. They put these stupid mixing valves on them now and you will not get enough hot water. Called several plumbers and all said they can not remove or fix it. What is stupid is I can scald every faucet in the house except for the adult Main Bedroom soaking tub? So my kids tub will burn you but not the adult one? I wish I could remove the valve completely. If I can find a fix i am going to remove the tub and install one with both hot and cold. I have to use a pool noodle in my wifes sink and my sink going to the tub to get enough hot water to take a bath. The builder was no help at all.
My soft close drawers stopped working properly about five years ago, about a year after installation. I took the drawer out and figured it was a bad instal, because the drawer would slide open about 3-4 inches after it was closed. I am doing my own kitchen renovation now, and as part of that project, I decided to look up the subject of soft close mechanisms that weren’t working properly. I had watched about 5 videos when I came across yours, and it made much more sense that the others, so I dove into it and had it fixed and working great in less than a minute. I thank you for that, BUT my wife was SO-O-O pissed when I told her how easy it was to fix (my mistake!). She wanted to know why I hadn’t fixed it for 5 years, making her “make-do” with the way it was. So, lesson learned. I should have made a lot more noise with a hammer and a drill and take a lot more time before I declared it a success.
You didnt talk about or highlight the WIGGLE ISSUE these TOTO washlets suffer from. The seat moves from side to side despite the Mounting flange being super tight... Design/Manufacturing Defect???????
I also note that the instruction sheet from Riobel suggests you apply caulking between the gasket and sink...both upper and lower. and teflon tape on the threaded piece. Does not seem necessary to me.
Thank You Thank You i know with Prayer and my Faith in God with these exercises and the rotating and not just laying on my back saved my live had Covid. 3 times 🤦🏾♂️GodBless you and your Family 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
How far away from the sink cutout do you cut the grooves for steel reinforcement? And also, is there a second video showing the rest of the sink-cutting steps?
9 year old video just showed me how to fix my soft close drawer. The design was different but the principle was the same. Didn't have to remove it, just slid the soft close slidey thing with a screwdriver.
Nice, to the point vid. However, isn't the drawer glide supposed to lock into the side rail rear plastic piece and pull it forward, ready for the softclose to work?
Thanks for this video!! I was super excited to get my broken drawer fixed. But when I kick that back piece forward, it doesn’t allow the slide to go back in. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Btw..I can’t get the forward piece to slide all the way out either.
All 4 of my new vanity drawers require a hard pull at the 1 inch mark when taking out. Cheap factory labor for an expensive vanity that we didn't install during the warranty period. Someone said the guides might not be set properly so I'll try working on that now that I know how these things work.
Thanks for the video. I’m having an issue with my drawer disengaging the shift close feature each time it’s closed and reopened. Then the soft close part impedes the drawer from closing fully. Any ideas???
Hey, so you may not see this comment since it's been 9 yrs but I'm having a different issue with my soft close drawer. It seems that spring part is keeping my drawer from closing all the way (about an inch) on one side. The other side works great! Do you have any ideas about what the problem could be? Thanks!
