It wasn't luck. It was divide and conquer. Harold's troops, one by one, splintered away from the main body of troops. As they splintered away, they got cut down by the invading Norman's. Eventually, there were more Norman's than there were Harold's men. Stupidity is what it was, if anything, not luck. It was probably one of the earliest examples in the UK, of a guerrilla war.
It's interesting to see women skirting around his success with words like "dynamism" and "star quality", when in fact, it was largely a product of his outstanding looks. Say what you like, he was just stone-cold handsome. Don't sweat it ladies, we get it.
As someone who grew up on SCTV (and just half an hour's drive from Newmarket), losing John was like losing an old friend. No matter what he was in, he always made it better just by being involved. I think of his career like this: Could anyone else have played the roles that he made so iconic (Buck Russell, Irwin Blitzer, Johnny LaRue, etc)? Absolutely not. There was just no one like John Candy. Rest easy, Sir.
I wonder if Bumpy Johnson was the one who sent Dutch that telegram while he was in the hospital. He was a leader in Harlem who had to pay tribute to Dutch

typical Spain. I’m not sure why they constantly have to fight each other through history. I think nobody has so many civil wars as the barbaric Spanish people.😊
"How the bat virus made the jump to humans is still unknown." It is also unknown if it is a "bat" virus or as a doctor of virology wrote "gene splicing SARS "like" bat virus with gene that is able to infect humans." You guys must not get CSPAN across the pond.
It’s a shame these so called Historians don’t wear gloves when examining ancient documents,no wonder they get covered in paper fungus from the oil in human skin…?
The methods the FBI used in hunting down the NY mafia actually made them worse than the people they were pursuing. At least the Cosa Nostra had principles.
Another wild-eyed British view of Waterloo. Not one mention of La Haye Saint and the crucial role of the King's German Legion in the battle. Once again the KGL are written out of history and the British get giddy over the closing of the gates at Hougoumont.
I was always suspicious of the original rewrite of this story had Custer as an an inept clod. However it seems the superior weaponry and numbers of the indians won that battle. Also the way the corpses were mutilated afterwards assured a slaughter was coming..
