Thanks for the review. Would this be suitable for tracking guitars and vocals with bearly any compression just to help control input and give it extra volume? (I know noone likes tondo this these days), just wondering whether the tube sound can be noticed at lower compression levels
hello friend, please help me understand the settings of the tla ivory 2 5051, for recording vocals and guitar. I can't figure out how to achieve warmth and surround sound. card volt 276, mic at4050. We don't touch the equalizer, I just want to feel the improvement compared to recording in the card directly. My sound is very overcompressed, overloaded, goes over the top if I add Gain, and if I lower it, it's hard to hear the voice in the mix. thank you❤
I've got ART VLA, Warm Audio WA-2A, Warm Audio 76, KLARK TEKNIK 76. Comparing them on acoustic guitar or bass guitar: ART is clear and smooth, but seems muffled with a bit too much hi-end. WA76 gives a bit of saturated sound, KLARK 76 is similar, but more open sound. The winner is: WA-2A.
a lot of people are sh*tting on it because "you can't really hear the compression" and yeah, it is not breaking up into distortion that easily and much - but i bet a lot of people would have gone mad for this aspect 50-60 years ago and made that a classic 😂 excited for my unit to come
I like the guitar playing on this video so much, I'm glad someone's comment brought me back. As for the amp, Fender's taken much of the work out of trying to find a variety of usable tones on a solid state amp. Basically it's the clean channel, then the same voicing on the OD side, run through circuitry to add/subtract brightness and distortion (not a fan of the distortion.) The real payoff is when you learn how to add effects to these voicings, and how Fender got it right by putting modulation before time-based effects. That's knowledge the player can take with them, when they're setting up their pedal boards.
Thank you so much for this. I have been engineering for years, but I've always struggled processing my own voice. This chain has solved that problem for me - really chuffed!
I am so fucking glad I ordered this one. Together with my new Neuman TLM 107 & Audient ID44 MK2 I will get a sound which is like a dream. Great review, and the song from Katrin was so beautiful!! Thank you!
Nice sound! Hello how to connect this to mixer? I have Yamaha Mg10uxf- there is one Phones jack (like TRS) labeled FX send. And there’s no label “FX returns” input for mixer. So I tried I plug it to mic input instead, I’m getting hiss /noise. So what kind of cable will work to route this thing to my mixer?
