Hi I am just trying to put this kind of geomery in motion through sound frequency. I couldnt understand what this kangoroo component doing and where to connect sound motion components in your script. Maybe you have an idea to share..🥲
I just linked ids to the GLB exported from Rhinoceros. It's in Japanese, but there is an overview image at the following link. www.styublog.com/rhino-web-sync
Cool, this is actually a plain weave pattern made with perpendicular yarns alternating over and under. Knits would show looped yarns. However, the instructions are very clear for this plain weave.
If you want to use this program, I think it's best to explode the polysurface and apply this program to each surface. However, depending on the shape of the surface, I think it may be necessary to devise some measures.
Thanks comment! Are you asking why I'm using Entwine component ? This is to write the program concisely. or Are you asking why I'm using mesh component after the initlal geometry component? This is because calculations with Mesh are faster than calculations with Brep.
Hello! Your video has inspired me a lot! Do you know if it is possible to use this code for different surfaces (they would be rectangles of different sizes)? And if it were possible, could it be done with all the surfaces at the same time or would I have to do them one by one? Thank you very much for the video!!!
Thanks comment :) You can also apply this program to rectangles. Please check the sample from the link below. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C10joYwalNbm4atJo40BaPCEDKe9S9xm?usp=drive_link If you want to apply it to multiple surfaces, I have to change the program. If you use the current program, you have to do them one by one.
I think, you can use more than 3 rules. However, if you are not getting any results when you have 4 or more rules, it might be because there is no solution that satisfies all the specified rules. When the number of rules increases, finding a compatible solution can become more challenging due to potential conflicts or constraints among the rules. monoceros docs ↓ monoceros.sub.digital/monoceros-user-manual/index.html
I repeated the diagram from the video. Everything worked the first time, but I would like a link to the project sources in the description of the video. Thank you for the lesson.
Thanks for this video. The wave pattern you made seems to be moving on a square surface and I want to apply this wave pattern to other surfaces. what should I do? Help me plz!
This program can be used if the U count and V count are unified in the U and V directions. Therefore, shapes that are transformed from rectangles, such as trapezoids, can be worked using this program, but this program cannot be used for circles or other special surfaces, so I think it is necessary to come up with a way to unify the U count and V count.
Hii!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!! I have a problem with the extrusion, the vonoroi cells that are on the top or bottom result deformed because of the vector. I am trying to apply this technique for a lighter case. Is there a way to apply multiple vectors to the extrusion? Thank you!!
Do you mean you want to apply different vectors for the cells at the top and bottom surfaces, and another set of vectors for the rest of the cells? If so, you would need to split them into two branches. After that, assign different vectors to each branch.
HI :) first of all, amazing tutorial, thank you! I would like to ask. When i put in the fillet before scale, the scale doesnt work properly anymore (some segments get lost). So the scale only works without fillet (fillet radius 0). Do you have any idea what that could be about? :/
Ummmm...I need to take a look at your code to see what the cause is. Please compare your data with mine. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1oAozJMZGmR940kTjUaRIF6LYDINcWb_h?usp=drive_link
doesn't work for me. when I'm trying to reduce the number on domain slider (to make the arc smaller) the part of a curtain just falls, in your lesson it shrinks...
How can we change the dimensions of the model? It's square in this video, I want to make a rectangle. When I replace 'extent x: 100' with another number, the file doesn't work. I also tried adding different numbers to the X and Y nodes but I guess it's more complicated than that. Also can we add some random curves too? I need something more irregular. Great tutorial btw!
thanks comment :) 1. If you change x dimension, you have to change "U" count in "surface from points component". Because points count also change when you change x dimension. I guess that is reason your file doesn't work. please check my grasshopper file from the link below. 2. of course you can add some random curve. You can add any curves, but you may need to consider what curves to add to achieve the shape you want. please check my grasshopper file from the link below. ↓ my grasshopper file drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C10joYwalNbm4atJo40BaPCEDKe9S9xm?usp=drive_link
Thanks comment ! My grasshopper file is here : drive.google.com/drive/folders/1MohtkMXbcNK5XQPPMRudLHMzmxkCwGoq?usp=drive_link Compare with your program :)
I think this video isn't related to the fact that you can no longer select models in Rhinoceros. Perhaps the model was locked in the Viewport in Rhinoceros (did you press Ctrl+L in Rhinoceros?). If the model is locked, try typing "unlock" in Command in Rhinoceros :)
you're absolutely amazing!!! can you create cell animation like something smalle in the bttm then gradually increasing size at the top in 1 wave only and also can be apply in loop? please
do you have other battery or only this one? If you cant see entire Monoceros set, then probably you need to unlock the .gha file that you put inside the Components folder. (right click and go to property and tick 'unlock')
Thanks for your tutorial! I am a new Grasshopper user, may I know how to show the message under component icons? For example, what is the meaning of 23ms?
Thanks comment! Do you mean that the surface does not collide with the sphere? If you need , you can download my ghfile here => drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CSyxPL9rP-myuKa2GCbgQdpC1aFCUCnL?usp=share_link Please check the grasshopper program is written correctly.
Hello, your files do not work. I am receiving an error on the Monoceros WFC Solver as well. If there are any other solutions to this problem please help.
@@davidbermudez8628 thanks comment! Please tell me, what kind of error you happen? I guess, the reason is Monoceros plug-in does not support for mac. Please check below↓ www.food4rhino.com/en/app/monoceros
@@studioTama Not sure why but i am still having that issue. It says this "1. Solution exception:Unable to load DLL 'monoceros-wfc-0.2.0.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)" please help.
Great Tutorial. But one thing that wasn't clear for me was the maths part(the one you used for the rotation of the cubes). Can you explain it for us(mainly why you use dot product and what that mathematical function does)? Thanks.
Thanks comment :) I made explanatory notes , check here please ⇒ docs.google.com/presentation/d/1tVSN_1syG6ldN4h2HNQADIRscLuU-udh8kHUIP_uhXg/edit#slide=id.p
Thanks comment. I guess, no pattern exists that satisfies the rule. So, you should check if the rules are set correctly (check if the points are connected correctly). You can download completed file from my github link in description. Please compare the finished file with your grasshopper program.
